Title: [Free art] Mechification returns (March 15: Okamigoki)
Post by: Jack McSlay on January 22, 2008, 11:17:08 AM
So it is. Those who has requested last time but not received, please re-request so I know if you're still interested. Those who didn't, here is the thing:

You have to pick a character (which obviously must not be a robot) And out of the character's look and design, I'll draw a giant robot based on given character.

Please note I'll choose whatever giant robot style I find fitting, be it classic super robot (Mazinger, Tetsujin), modern super robot (Gaogaigar, Power Rangers), real robot (Robotech, Armored Core), fantasy (Escaflowne, Cybaster), western mecha (Mechwarrior, Chromehounds) or any other style you think of. So if there's any specific you want, please say so when you request.

EDIT: here's the current queue:
Janus Whitefurr - Janusor (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1036548/)
Tapewolf - Okamigoki (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1148920/) <alternative link> (http://www.sheezyart.com/view/1717383/)
skarth
Ryudo lee
Dannysaysnoo
Zedd
Modelincard
James Starrunner
Rhylith
Schizo

Edit2: decided for a 10 limit for this batch, so there's only 2 more slots for now
Ok, queue full. those who didn't get one, I wil take a break and do it agan in the future

Heh. Try me on for size. (http://mewzii.deviantart.com/art/Sympathy-for-the-Devil-58402833)

Try to make it either a classic or a modern super robot. (GaoooooGaaaaaiGaaaaaar~!!) :s

If you're offering, yeah, I'm still interested.

Here's a set of references: http://s89.photobucket.com/albums/k216/tapewolf/jakob/

Generally I'm more into cybernetic limb replacements and suchlike, but since those don't seem to be options, I'll leave the style up to you :3

I'm in on that!

VERY old profile (http://megaraichu.tripod.com/dth/ryudo_profile.html), but it has all the pictures I've ever had drawn.  Best one to use as a reference is by Dragon Warrior Masurei.

And I particularly like the Gundam-series style mechs.  :3

You're gonna need all four hands, Jack.

(No, I'm quite happy without a mech, thanks all the same.)

Wouldn't that just be, like, the Borg cube or the Companion Cube?

That would imply I wish to merge with the rest of you, and take over (ew, cooties - besides, I already hold the power) or and friendly and cuddly.

Erm. Yeah. I can see that. Not.

Ya' know what...why not. If you're accepting requests, could you please do one of Miranda? (God, this one sucks, but it's what I've got. (http://www.airlandrail.net/art/img/furry/miranda.jpg) But use the head in the lower left of this one for the color scheme. (http://modelincard.deviantart.com/art/Warhol-Heads-65151012)) If I had to guess, I think she might look nice as something outta, like, anime -kinda cleaner, smoother style robot, not like, real chunky- (can't think of an example, I don't watch enough). If you don't mind, that is.

Neat.  Good colouring as well.  I'm not entirely convinced about the hair, although that's probably me thinking about it too deeply.

I sure hope that he did not have to do what Unit One did to acquire a fully operational S2 engine... Also, what does he need that humongous roll for? I won't be surprised if it will end up in the skull of one of those mass production EVA units.
