Title: Lost Lake Inn
Post by: Ailis on January 07, 2008, 12:06:41 AM
Out of curiosity, just what is the Lost Lake Inn known for?

Being that it was interviewed/seen for a magazine, the inn must really have something going for it!

Maybe the inside is like a maze and people go there for the thrill of maybe getting lost in the lobby forever, never to return to the outside world. :D

Or it could be the buffalo wings.

Or it could be that the magazine the reporter was from featured a "Cool Hang Out Spot" article in it's issues, and that Lost Lake finally got the article.

Or, more likely, Amber needed a reason for Dan= Alexsi and Abel= Merlitz hijinks.

Yea... I'm going with the second one.

It's known for being dungeon-accessible.  It's very close to Shame and Wrong, I think.

(I... can't for the life of me remember where dungeon Wrong is  :<
That alone should be a sign that I need to play U6 or U7 again...)

Sadly enough I remember how to get there and whether or not they were connected somehow.

I think they were interested in Lost Lake as a location. I gues its the kind of nice, peaceful areas tourists would go to 'get away from it all.' unfortuantely, it also has Pip, so said tourists may be lucky to 'get back to it all' with intact skin. lol.

Don't forget that it's apparently linked to SAIA via an underground passageway. At least according to one comic in the Academy Arc.

Yeah, but apparently, if it has a basement, it has rats. That means that most basements will be linked, not just Lost Lake and SAIA.

Perhaps it's the only inn at Lost Lake.

Maybe it was just one of those articles that weekly/monthly goes out and finds random lesser known 'hot spots' or just cozy hang outs or whatever. Here in Toronto they have an article every week or so about some random tiny restaurant that isn't anything fancy but still makes it out to be this great spot.

I found a really cool italian place in Olympia that way.  Man, their stuffed bell peppers and muffellta (spelling may be off) sandwiches were awsome.  *drools*

I was thinking that the proximity to the lake and the food would do it.  Heh, question is, are the buffalo wings from livestock or the unfortunate Creatures that have fought Alexis and lost?

"Hey lady, this is a crappy bar."
"BAR!?  This is an inn, dag nabbit!"  *thwomps with hammer*

...

"Order up!"

Reminds me of a particular barber and business owner.

I'm in London, and we did the same thing using Restrauntica. Oh dear god, I've never had such good Greek food as at the Mythic Grill.

One time, when I was in London, I found a little stand that made waffles. It was 11pm. I was so happy. Over here, everything closes at five...after that, well, you've just got the bars. You don't know how precious you are.

Some people may be scared off due to being thrown for a loop.
Just as the SAIA switches locations frequently, SSLLL (Silver's Second Life Lost Lake) switches shape relatively frequently. :P

That sounds like Dibbler in Pratchett's Discworld novels.  I'm wondering if this suggests a connection between C.M.O.T. Dibbler and the aforementioned barber.

Gee, ya think?

It's a gourmet pie, even. The meat comes from named animals. And I don't mean names like "spot"...

It may be more obvious to those in Great Britain and those living in countries that separated from the British Empire more recently than the United States of America.

Technically, The british queen is still the Canadian head of state.

I mean, she's on all our coins and stuff.

I think we're just too lazy to make a real constitution.

Mayhaps a queen would find the grub at the Lost Lake Inn to her liking?

Of course, she could never come out and openly admit that she frequented such a place.  She would probably go in disguise, slummin' fer grubbin', not realizing there were cubi on the premises.  Then Abel could report her majesty's dining locale to the tabloids for some cash and to give the Inn a boosts in customers.  (The boost in customers would keep Alexis happier and distracted, meaning less hiding under the stairs for Abel.)

Sides, even if 'Lexsi was nicer to Abel, he'd want to stay in his room downstairs anyway. He spent a week there by his own volition, I doubt he'd be wholy enthusiastic about leaving his dark, small lair.
