I guess I was fortunate enough to have my birthday early enough in December that I can double-dip for the month with Christmas.
OTOH, it's close enough that the tactic of "combine the two and get me the really shiny thing" also works every couple of years. Like this year. Instead of two prezzies, my folks got me one HDTV. :mwaha
My birthday is in early january, so my parents consider it a double-whammy. It can be considered triple if you notice that their anniversary is in february. I usually get something shiny on Christmas and then something not-so-shiny for my birthday, or vice-versa, depending on the year's cashflow.
My family was nice enough to rarely ever combine things (at least when I was growing up), but I know a lot of people that weren't so lucky.
My birthday and Christmas are very evenly spread out. It makes the "Christmas and Birthday" argument rather pointless.
My family always tries appease me with a human sacrifice. *Sigh*
I really justs wish they would bake me a freaking birthday cake. :/

I'd rather kill it with a member of the Gracie Ju-jitsu clan. At least then we could put it on PPV and make a small profit.

Kinda like the Adams Family movie...
My sons' birthday is the day after mine. My mothers' birthday is 5 days after mine, and my older brothers' birthday is 4 days after that, all in January.
And my younger brothers' birthday is in mid December.
Oh, and my oldest brothers' birthday is the day before my fathers' birthday.
So, uh, yeah. There's sort of a history there. ;-]

Wow, must cost a fortune buying gifts.
I save by living on the other side of the world from most of them, but yes.

Darn you and your antics in New Zealand, youi just don't love them!
Since today is my offical birthday (though we celebrated it yesterday to combine it with my sister's), Here's the loot I've gotten:
Nintendo DS and Metroid Prime Hunters.
Crimson Skies (Xbox)
Fable(Xbox)
Ninja Gaiden (Xbox)
I think I made a good haul only 11 days off from Christmas.
Ooh, crimson skies was a great combat flight sim, i just wish i could find it.
