***Sienna Maiu's Art Thread***

I'm tired of this... Boredom!
So here's a little update!

I'm not going to bother linking to any art on the first page. After all, it's there. You can see it right there. You just have to scroll down. I'm far too lazy a person to encourage the likes of all of your laziness.

[Formerly: Sienna Got Bored]
So she made an art thread.

Yeah... I haven't been doing much, but here's some stuff anyways.
This was done right after I got back from my vacation. Interesting enough she seems to be going off of a landing bay, with map in hand, presumably about to go on a trip of her own. Drawn because I realized I haven't drawn Sienna in forever.

Larger (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v667/siennamaiu/SummerVacation07310.jpg) (Edited due to the wrong picture being linked)

And here's something I did last year for a calander that got cancelled only a few months in. I present to you, July:
Yeah, I sort of never bothered to finished (then I lost it) (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v667/siennamaiu/atthebeach.jpg)

Well... later.

I see you have the Mabb sun and the Escher wall, they make a nice combination.

calendar looks nice.  Would that make it the "Lost July?"

You haven't lost anything.  If you want to finish it, just print the picture out and keep going like nothing happened.

'course, you won't be able to erase any of the older lines...

should I post the line sketch from what I just started working on, but will likely never finish?  Ah, decisions, decisions.

neh, go for it.

And I can't do that. The original is a full 8x11 page with more details.

you'd be surprised what going over the old details with a pencil can do for a low-quality print.

hmm, but it printed-out too small and really I'ld prefer to just find the original.

But I might try it for kicks
Title: Re: Sienna Got Bored

usually, you want to do stuff like that so that it'll fill the whole page.  Don't use Paint, if that's what you used.  Use Microsoft Image Viewer's print features, if it's roughly page-shaped, then just print the maximum-sized...um...size.

Okay, so school's doing something mean and retarded, so... I decided to throw on up some of the things I've done over the weekend.

Sakura from Naruto (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v667/siennamaiu/Sketchbook001.jpg)

Some random guy-thing... (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v667/siennamaiu/Sketchbook002.jpg)

A were-ferret I wrote down some notes on several years back, planning to sketch it out during camp, that I decided to do this weekend. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v667/siennamaiu/Sketchbook003.jpg) Unfortunately... I didn't quite catch the par of my notes that said her colourings were actually black and white... I don't remember/know who this is.

Obviously Akisohida, because my last one sucked. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v667/siennamaiu/Sketchbook004.jpg)

And thank-you Brunhidden.

Unfortunately I just got uprooted from my dad's office right before posting. Fortunately, I was using this laptop, so the point was moot and was only delayed about an hour, instead of waiting an entire day. Thank-you so much llearch, all I had to do was type in "akisohida" and "drunk" into the search, and it came right up.

Heh. Yeah, it would.

FWIW, I just host it. I don't recall having much to do with downloading it, or with setting up the search, other than following instructions provided by the originals, and happening to have enough bandwidth to run it...

Still, once it's up, it looks after itself.

so years ago, when you made that drawing last week, Llearch was older than he is now?

I shall say, the art shows much promise.  Some of them are pretty good.  Keep at it!

The drawing I drew this morning was inspired by llearch providing the sources for the old threads, causing me to pay tribute to the older version of him.

Sounds' like a fountain of eternal youth!  You're only as old as you act, right?

in that case, I'll either live forever, or die at the sensitive age of twelve.

Here's a necklace I've created.

Enjoy.
(I refuse to take responsibility for any side-effects of this picture)
(lolz, mah hand!)
(and there it's just... sitting)
(I just plain thought that this was a cool effect)

I started this necklace on Friday, but all I really did was attach the lobster claw clasp to the bit of string.
It was Saturday night that I did all the rest. I think it's pretty cool, in that it's grown on me. I think it looks good on me too.

I need sleep now...

EDITED because my re. subject heading dissappeared! :u

Overall, it's not my thing but I can't fault the performance.

Well... I guess you managed to get this to me in chat already, but I'll say it again... There's absolutely no way I can hit some of those notes! Even if sung it lower, my range sucks... There was some nervousness in there, but you at least know how to sing. My singing sounds like a dying moose on steroids in comparison.

In fact, my favourite rendition is the one on the Shrek soundtrack, which isn't Rufus' usual accompaniment, from what I can gather.

Nice voice. Was that all a cappella, or were you playing the music over headphones while singing? If the former, I've got to say I'm impressed. If the latter, I'm still impressed ;-]

Have I ever mentioned that you've got a really pretty voice?

Powerful, too.  You should consider professional singing.  Or at very least entering American Idol.

Also, to derail any future "bare" puns...
"Bare" means to expose to the light of day.
"Bear" is to struggle under a heavy load, such as the animal by the same name.

It would be nice if you had an accompaniment.  Sounds like you can hold a tune better than I can, though.

Overall, it's not my thing but I can't fault the performance.
Everything is better with accompaniment!!!
which I won't have tonight... *cries*

Aww... thank-you ^-^ I was actually using my headset to record, so no ^-^' It was all a capella, because I was practising for my performance in my school's Coffee House tonight, and the chatters suggested I use this method for memorization on Tuesday(/Wednesday morning, :laugh)

Not true: I've also heard your Hennya recordings, which I apparently didn't comment that they sounded pretty.

Of course, you weren't singing at the time, so "pretty" doesn't really apply...

Well, I could tell that nerves got to you, but if you can keep those in check(Underpants schmunderpants, I forget about the audience entirely!), you should be fine.

As long as there's no Simon in the judges.

Possibly, though I think you just fell prey to the horrible ordeal of "Homophones," or "words that sound the same, but are spelled and defined differently."  It's one of the reasons English is hard.(Oh, really, Mr. Chinese if-you-inflect-the-same-word-differently-it-means-ninety-seven-different-things?)

In short, "bear" means to hold something, so if you're "bearing something in mind," it means you're keeping it at the forefront of your mind.  Kinda like a tattoo on your forehead.

So just imagine you've got a Teddy bear tattooed on your forehead.

How about "affect" and "effect"?
Title: Re: Alright Guys! Listen to my totally (lame) awesome singing **NEW***
Post by: Sienna Maiu - M T on October 20, 2007, 10:57:49 AM
Well, let's just say that I know the effects of affect, but to be fair I always pay the fare at the RenFair (oh as if I've ever gone to one of those :rolleyes) When I go there are always two ewes, because three would be too many.
Later I bare-back ride a bear, grizzly to be specific. It's always quite fun, except if you land in the mud (among other things...), then things can turn quite grisly. But then again, that is why they have you sign a document before hand, stating that you accept the possible consequences of your actions.
There are of course other things to do, but they're generally considered rather boring by others. Some people like to sometimes flash their flesh, but all to their own I guess. Personally, I like giving gifts of meat to those I meet, but that's just me *shrug*

Although I'm still not sure how flash and flesh are homophonically similar.

Also,
Quote from: Raist on October 18, 2007, 07:54:16 PM
So just imagine you've got a Teddy bear tattooed on your forehead.
Yes.

*snickers*

And I forgot about Hennya. Or rather, I sort of forgot that people listened to it, strange because it's always on the forefront of my mind. So, perhaps the necessity to get it done purged all other thoughts of it from my mind?
On top of that I suppose is the fact that I don't think we're quite there in the final product just yet, meaning it's not "main stream" yet, and the only people listening to it just yet are either a) in the show themselves, or b) just that interested and keeping themselves amused with the behind the scenes work.

Although I totally failed on that colouring, the left leg is total love, even if it's placement is weird.

Kat-link (http://sienna-maiu.deviantart.com/art/You-ll-always-be-a-Kat-to-me-68160411) And speaking of weird placements... the leg looks fine except for the top. But I like it anyways. :U

There's totally other stuff in the making, this is just what came and got done today. My OC I wasn't totally planning to draw. Well actually... come think of it, it has been on my mind at school recently. I actually drew this due to the sketch of her, turned elf I happened across from either today or yesterday.

I definitely love how I was drawing that hand there and was suddenly all like, "Hay, doesn't he wear gloves? :B"
Of course, my drawing him may or may not have anything to do with my wearing my lavender turtleneck yesterday :)
but I've been meaning to anyways.
I love that expression... makes me wanna melt.

So approximately twenty-four hours after the initial poll, I realized an additional thing I had wanted to add. Sadly, I can no longer remember, although I do have a sneaking suspicion.

On top of this, I would have discovered a certain unwarranted added poll option *eye-roll*. Well, I shall go add what I think to have been the answer.
Later though, Orange County is so coming out.

[Edit:] I do love though how people responded with drawing them, but didn't tell me who they were.
Productive for them, eh?

llearch, so sweet :3

Okay, so being as how I'm (obviously) bored, here's something I did a little while ago.
It's really bad. (Oh yeah! and I finished my film noir script and the outline for a "Moment of Tension" assignment. I hope to get a good film out of my fn script, so I can post it)

~.*.~.*.~.*.~.*.~.*.~

Let's call it "Gone" now then, shall we?

It was there as I stood at the impass,
and I stared into the dawn.
I thought to myself 'What wonders',
'What truth and feeling. Now Gone'.

So here as I stare to the sunset,
And thoughts linger a longer while
I'll remember ye all those,
the ones that fall, the ones who fell,
The ones now gone.

"Our Place"

There is a place that's all our own,
It's hidden in plain sight.
Where
we control the light.
The wind, ours to command,
the walls our tapestry
Our domain, our place.
To remember this place, is to remember a part of ourselves.
So take a walk to remember, the place we once were,
The people we are now, and the times to be had.
Do you remember our own, out on the slope,
that place of great and little hope?
So, take heart in our place,
As it forever will be.

I think the phrase "the we once were" is missing a word, but I liked that poem. It evoked some interesting images.

True enough, it is now fixed.
Thankyou for your response, it is probably right that a poem which actually means something to me should elicit one.

Based on a tru story, written todai in mai hed.

I hit my head
And then it bled.
Now my eyes are red,
Oh look. I'm dead.

So, I was wondering why I felt so dizzy when I got home from a meeting (7:45-ish) and I was sitting in my seat and the world was spinning, my limbs were cold, my brother had me playing FreeBird on Guitar Hero (first time playing was today after school O.o), and the text on the forum was burning my eyes. It was when I was in the truck with my parents that I remembered that I hit my head, I had assumed that I had merely eaten too many chocolate-peanutbutter balls, but that didn't make sense since I had eaten real foods as well (lol, unless my body is in shock from the nutrition overload). So, now I'm afraid to go to sleep.
. . .
I'm sure there was more to say. Or maybe not.

I always work hard,
though I make not a very good bard.

Also, I think the only reason people would be choosing Cosplay are the crazies who actually want to see me.
On that note, I don't think anyone's really looking anymore. *considers letting it die*

Edit: Lol, bad singing XD

http://www.mediafire.com/?et2rmttll2d

I'm still on vocal probation though.
(this is the first time I've sung the entire song through, and I was using a different version than I'm used to, but I didn't feel like starting over to correct that mistake I made)
Maybe later I can be better, yes?
With practise.

OH, I know what I should do next.
piano.

Celine Dion, as in the movie Titanic (not to be confused with the musical :P)

Oh hey, maybe I should do a musical song next.

Edit: Ah, forgot to mention that this version is obviously not as good as the original, what with the instrumental interlude and such.

I didn't have my sheet music on me, so I decided to wing it. :B
(« Last Edit: Today at 10:30:29 PM by Sienna Maiu - M T » )

Another edit: a new song.

After listening to it, try listening to it on "fast" if you have the ability, the faster the better.

As previously posted elsewhere:
<Sienna_Maiu> Okay, so this is much lower than how I preformed it on August 19th (I find it almost humourous that my first solo would happen to be on Amber's birthday), due to not wanting to stress my chords as well as not wanting to draw parental attention, but I rather like it: http://www.mediafire.com/?cuzninneb1z

I just didn't feel like editing my update a third time the other day.

Okay, so since the "photography" option seems to be popular, I guess I'll get on that.
I have to wonder though... is this because people think "photography" would involve more pictures of me?
If so, A)You people are crazy, and B)I can assure you this is not the case, more pictures would have to perhaps involve me making clothing and modeling it (a stretch) or outfits that I "made" in that I put them together, and happen to enjoy. Although... I do have an idea for a photoshoot at the moment...
Any thoughts on this?

Oh wait, now I recall. It's going to be for a game.

Alright, I'll try to go do some photography, since it's so popular. I'll also try browsing through old files too.

/me breaks through the red tape

One day, I decided that I wanted to try something new. This something new, entailled ducttape.

So, here we have the end result, a patch made of ducttape. Why FKK?, you may ask. Well, I wanted to try this thing, and he seemed the easiest to do, also I had a limiting factor over colours. ie-no pink or purple to do a Sienna Maiu. We'll see though... I've discovered Michaels. or, as the sign says, "Miches"  (http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v667/siennamaiu/Arts%20for%20others/?action=view&current=HPIM0655-Copy.jpg)

PLUS! I found that drawing for the calander from the first post. What I did with it from there... not entirely sure.

I'm starting a different kind of art request too.
Singing. Pick some songs, I'll try to learn them for you, if you can provide a song link, that would be good too. Adversely, any songs you would prefer I stay away from....

*throws it up into the air*
We'll see what happens
