Title: In search of poetry
Post by: thegayhare on August 05, 2007, 11:00:37 PM
hello all

I'm working on a new story

It's sorta a bit of fan fiction set in Werepuppy and Trejaan's rocketship rodents universe

there is one scene I wanted to do where a char would be addressing a dinosaur and I wanted him to quote a poem.  Something describing the beauty or majesty of a dragon.  If anyone knows anything I might give me a holler

thanks all

You sound like you want a famous poem, and not something original.  In that case:

Keats, of course, has the quintessential statement on beauty.  You might be able to adapt it.  I don't know many poems about dragons.  Beowulf has a dragon, but nothing really extolling the virtues of dragons.

If you want something original, I could see if I could whip something up.

I was originally thinking of something famous but when I posted this I realised it didn't have to be since the RR univers is not our own I can simply claim the auther is famous there

and if you don't mind your poem being featured in a erotic gay story then sure I'd love to see something
