Title: My rather immasculate debut
Post by: Sirios Skywolf on March 12, 2007, 01:35:34 AM
I really had no purpose in typing that subject title other than to point out that....wait, what was it? Dang coffee blasted memory.

...

OH Yeah! That I'm a wierd guy.  So I figured I'd come her and bother people, goof off abit. This is the right place for goofiness, correct? This isn't a no-goof zone?

Gods, I hope so.  *looks over his shoulder for the maturity police*

Welcome to the boards.

Look out for muffins, talking boxes, and people warning you to look out for people warning you look out for things.

forgot which forum I was browsing...

--edit--

this posts appears to be re-appropriate... and, whups, I meant to add another "people warning you to look out for" in that last statement.

No, I think you had it right, Reese. (edit: well, after Bill moved it... :-] )

Of course, I still can't see why everyone seems to warn everyone about me....

BTW, Bill, it's usually best to call someone fat when it will actually offend them. Being as I'm rail thin, that really isn't the case. ;)

*stops ignoring Density for a second and glances at the sig* I said you're instead of your at one time? I must've been under the influence of something. Like something in the air.

No, you didn't (http://clockworkmansion.com/forum/index.php?topic=2092.msg87410#msg87410).  I was scratching my head at that, as well.

As I've almost completely forgotten that post in the first place, it didn't make sense that it was not only longer, but fairly insulting to whoever it would have been directed to. I don't get the whole edit thing. If you edit it, it's no longer a quote from me. I kinda disagree with it because people who don't actually know what I posted are going to go "That ASSHOLE" or something and overreact about my internet-words, real or not.

I'm not sure that people would think you an asshole for calling someone dense.  More likely, Bob the Angry Flower will call you an asshole for misusing pronouns.

Not that you need to call people names to act like an asshole, as a recent search of Jim Halisstrad's posting on pants reminded me.  (for the record, Jim wasn't the asshole)

I already get enough "ASSHOLE"s from correcting peoples' spelling, so I wouldn't doubt it happening because of that, in the least.

For the record, going around correcting other people's spelling does make (the rhetorical) you look like an asshole (http://www.angryflower.com/itsits.gif).  I do it occasionally, when the misspellings are also funny malapropisms, but never when it can't be made silly.

I think that falls more under the category of ``Hey, I know what you're talking about!''

Wouldn't that depend on whether or not they're right?  :B

(Funny, spell check spotted three wrongs in what I quoted of you, but nothing in what I said.  Of course, they were all capitalization errors.  I told it not to correct them, out of deference to you.)

But who will keep the spell check in a job then if you tell it not to?
