Title: A question about running Half Life 2 in a window.
Post by: Akisohida on February 02, 2007, 06:49:40 PM
Ok, I enjoy chatting online as I play so I usually run Half Life 2 in windowed mode. The problem is that some of my chatting goes on on a MUCK but Half Life 2 STAYS foreground no matter what; even when I am typing into my MUSHClient, Half Life 2 window is in front of everything else. Is there a way to force HL2 into the background when I click on other windows?

I haven't a clue, but X-Fire (http://www.xfire.com/) is specifically for chatting while in-game, so you don't have to run in a window.

Thank you but my chatting is text-based on a MUCK, usually. :)

Just for you, I downloaded SimpleMu and ran it in the background while I played Counter Strike Source. (Same engine, same deal. I don't have Half Life 2 installed right now, but this should work.) I had no problem getting CSS to go behind the window of the MUCK. What OS are you running?
