I wonder how she is related to him? :mowmeep
This will be fun to see if he will ask her out now or run. :U
So with all the death going on in Abel's arc, we're getting birth to make up for it here? Man, I'm liking Fa'Lina more and more. Anyone with a sensible view on kids gets a thumbs up in my book.
(ironically, my parents seem to take comfort in the fact that there's no chance that there could be anything out there genetically related to me)
Pyro's expression in the third panel is priceless. :mowcookie
Alright, she's his mother, though almost stepmotherly in her evilness.
At this point, I've come to expect a lot of things from Fa'Lina. But for some reason - and I can only blame myself - a look of genuine insanity never crossed my mind. I mean, she looks just plain psychotic for a moment there.

I mean, come on, Fa'lina. Don't talk about babies until they talk about marriage, for fear of the potential father not feeling ready to have children :erk :erk
Oooooh crap...
Dudes, Happy New Year, everyone. :D Even though I know you all for a grand total of just a few days (three?), I LOVE EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU. Yes, can you tell I've had ONE TOO MANY mint brownies? I can stay up all night and--oh right. The comic.
I can only imagine what the offspring of Alexsi and Pyroduck would look like, but at least this comic finally answers that one question in comic 598... :P Poor Ducky--oh, I mean Pyroduck. Fa'Lina is easily becoming one of my favorite characters. XD Not to mention the EXPRESSIONS here... I can hear her voice in my head every time I read the dialogue.

We don't know. Unless he's done some kind of Fae reincarnation trick a'la Mab, he can't be older than Fa'Lina. He could be anything between 25 and 9000. Given their mutual reactions I'd hazard a guess at under 50 ("Fa'Lina.. I'm not fifty anymore! I don't need cute ways of getting a message delivered!"). Fa'Lina would probably do that to a 1000-year old 'cubi mind :P
On the other hand we have the alleged time-travel business, a.k.a his ability to foretell things and always win at gambling. If he doesn't have aeons of dragonlore, how the hell would he pull that off unless he really is a time-traveller? (In which case working out his age is a nontrivial exercise)

Thus reproving that Pyro can have emotional meltdowns as well as any other member of the cast.
I do wonder if women who can't have children direct their energy into getting other people to have them.
Perhaps its genetic programming
Raise kids until
age = 18
then ask "when am I going to have some grand children?"
repeat until
grand children number = 1+
They get to see them occasionally without all that annoying having to look after them stuff. 'The best thing about grand kids is you can give them back !' as my parents keep reminding me.

I must be totally insane:

{
check(children);
for(kid=children;kid;kid=kid->next)
{
if(!kid)
break;
if(kid->age < 18) // should ask rather than accessing it directly but
{ // sometimes it returns an incorrect result
if(!kid->raise())
{
kid->SendIntoCare(); // Something went wrong with the kid
// carry on with the others, check() will remove it
// from the list later on
}
continue;
}
// kid->age >= 18
if(!kid->children)
kid->request(CHILDPROCESS);
// Shouldn't happen
if(kid->age > age)
{
if(!(kid->flags & FLAGS_ADOPTED))
{
// Thanet DC had this happen last year
BreakPoint();
break; // See if we can get this to happen again

``There are two things wrong with that statement, and both of them are all of it.''
1.) Dragons aren't mammals. I'd have to look up what the exact requirements are, but among other things, they're warm-blooded, which I think is not true of dragons.
2.) There are three broad categories of mammals--placentals and marsupials, and monotremes. Placentals are born like humans are born, but marsupials have a sort of two-stage birth, and monotremes actually lay eggs (!). So there's no standard way for a mammal to be born.

I assume he's thinking of the fact that 'cubi in effect start out as Beings and gradually become magical Creatures. Either that or it's the business where the offspring may or may not be a 'cubi and so there is something funny going on at the genetic/metabiology level.

That actually makes quite a bit of sense. If the `cubi genes were on the X chromosome (and say, there were even odds of whether or not a spermatozoa had either the X chromosome, the Y chromosome, or an X and a Y), it would be an either/or thing.

4.) `Cubi don't seem to reproduce in the same way as beings.
...*blinks*
Elaborate, please? O_o;
#489 (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_489.php) seems to indicate that the method of reproduction is at least slightly novel.
I rather think this is the universal reaction to this sort of stuff, just like Jyrras went all *MOUTHFOAM* when he tried to picture his parents having sex.
I mean... what would YOU do if some stranger suddenly whipped up sex ed pictures after your "Where did you come from" question? ;)
I put on my robe and wizard's hat.
I'm depressed that I get that joke. :<

Well, why would she have sex-ed pictures, unless there were a difference?
Edit: though I do admit that I was probably wrong.

Most likely the same reason why she also brought along puppets and muffins: "Because I can." :P

Personally, in his 2-legged form, I always thought he looked a bit bear-ish.
Though this one http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_263.php seems to imply that his biped form (other than the tail) is a weasel, doesn't it? Perhaps Amber could end the speculation on this with a definitive answer.
BTW, I noticed that at the mention of babies, in the 3rd panel Ducky experienced some shrinkage of his dragonly extremities... look at the tiny wings. :mowhappy
Or the phallic tail.

I think we're reading more into it than was supposed to be there. On the other hand, just because something wasn't meant to be there doesn't mean it's not there. :3
P.S. If Brunhidden's comic is safe for the forum, then the Nutri-grain commercial (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=9007621520656841860) (featuring a woman who gets really psycho about babies) is surely safe.
*sigh*
Everything has to be a plot with her now doesn't it?
talk of children is apparently enough to make people go chibi- :< these days...
Ah Fa'lina... from the sultry headmistress kink to MILF territory.
Fu fu fu fu fu fu...
She psyco when Falina talks about babies that cracks me up. She totally demented regardless poor Pyro all that pressure. I hope this will teach Pyro not to blurt out about him and Alexsi.

Yeah, pretty much.
EDIT: Ah, the fairly-recent-Fa'Lina-chasing-Dan archives... she used to be cute. :<

Methinks the "We" in that statement refered to himself, Mab, and the other winged denizens of Lost Lake, explaining to the non-winged Wildy why they don't take to the skies.

i'm also guessing that other than gas-turbine induced pain and suffering, it's just cheaper to fly commercially than it is to fly under your own power.... plus you get inflight movies and meals *nods*

Her tentacle head looks like it's on a total sugar rush xD
And Fa'Lina is extra cute(/scary) when she's happy. *totally approves*
1st part i agree
2nd..a mixture of extra cute and, due to those teeth, reminding me of Lorenda when she first meet Jyrras way back when..almost same grin
She's a total psyco regardless. I wander what other psycotic ways to embarrass Pyro.
yes, THATS the grin i was thinking about. theres no way that poodle isnt thinking "YUMMY!" at that moment.
also, what the in Lokis name is a MILF? and why do i have the feeling i wont like the answer?
QuoteSmashing things is fun and all thog, but did thog ever think about what will happen when thog and kurd run out of things to smash? kurd not like to think sad things like that.

The answer is NSFW, anyway...
If she like the idea of having grandkids imagine Falina with the naming process of Pyro and Alexsi children oh jeeeze psycho on the next level.
(1/11/07) I wounder what they will look like?
I don't know. I could imagine the Dragon mixed with Cubi I bet the kids will be cute as a button.
Except... There wouldn't BE any dragon/cubi mix, possibly ever. Not just because Alexsi isn't a cubi, mind you >_>

So... you'll chase yourself up a tree, hiss at yourself, and bark at yourself until you come down, which isn't until after you've gone away?
No I won't I can have full control. Plus I live with cats and dogs. :P
