I need to find a "Taski" who owns the Bunny character .. I was going to try and get a hold of Amber until I saw it wasn't her character... depending on who Taski and where the bunny is from, I may have to end up asking Amber as well for the character design.
anyway, it's for a simple cameo. two other characters from other sources will be cameoed too... basically the scene is going to be Crystal Balls getting crossed signals.... a sort of gag strip, yet context sensitive to the story at that point... Slated to occur in possibly 3 weeks from now.
So If anyone knows who this is, I'd like to ask permission to borrow this character for a cameo on my strip.
Thanks in Advance if all goes to plan.

I suggest wiggling; that usually attracts Taski's.

Yes, that is my Bun and you may use her for your comic. All I ask is that you take a few minutes to study her personality, rather than looks.
http://www.furfire.org/gallery/Griffon <-- study the buns
If you'd rather have a shortcut version of her antics, she's basically the very confussed girl those crazy-like anime shows who feels blissfully comfortable one second, and feverently threatened with aggressive resolve to defend the next.
Beware of the bun..FOr she starves for penguins!

Why thank you! I'll look into that link and such. The scene is one panel, so I'll for sure have to study her to pick the right reaction(s).
and... errr, wait... is it "Bun" or "Bon" now?
It's Bun, it even says 'Bun' on the comic strip.

Its Bon even though it sounds like Bun
Actually it says "Bon" on the strip. Bon is a bun. =D
Actually with the small text I could not see if it was "Bon" or "Ban".. but then Taski said "Bun" (with a capital "B") so I was thinking maybe Amber wrote it wrong :U
just wanted to make sure :P
Who knew a three letter name could cause so much confusion.
Sex?
I pity the kid who's parents name him that. :<

Richard Head. He went to my school.
I heard something about someone naming their kid after femme-genitals once. :<
Optimus Prime > you. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optimus_Prime_%28person%29)
Or that Chinese guy that named his kid after a number... and then there was a settlement and had the boy's name changed to Dragon or something. Only problem was, the kid was already an adult by then.

During a group therapy session with four different families...Psychologist: Well, thanks for coming along. You're all here because you each have an obsession with a certain thing in your life.
The Psychologist turns on the first family...Psychologist: You're obsessed with lollies and sweets of all kinds, it's even manifested itself in your daughters name: Candy!
She (the Psychologist) turns to face the second family...Psychologist: Your obsession is with alcohol, you even named your daughter "Brandy"!
The Psychologist faces the third family...Psychologist: You are clearly obsessed with Money. You even named your daughter "Penny"!
At this point the fourth family gets up and walks to the door...Fourth Mother: Come on Dick, we're going home.

I once had a teacher in highschool named Fucko Bottoma. No, really. He was gay, too. I swear I can't make stuff like that up. He was Italian, I think. There's good chance that isn't how he spelled his name, but that's how is was pronounced, so...yeah.
He made everyone call him Frank, though. Good old Frank.
I went to an amazing highschool.

Awww sounds almost like my music elementry teacher...Her last name was Buttocks
I remember seeing a name which was 1 2 3 da Silva 4
However it war pretty weird that my sis had a teacher called Kenya, and I actually meat a guy called Togo
yay for country-named people
But back to the subject at hand...Im sure Bon will be a fond addtiton to any comic...
I've seen some really atrocious name-changing before. This was over on another forum about a year ago, and the guy was obviously not quite right in the head - moreso than most, even - as he showed an image of the official document as proof of having his name changed. But instead of just having two names, in the standard first-name / surname fashion, I think there were about six or seven. And there was a hyphen in there too. It was like he just threw a load of his net nicknames into the middle of his real name. :B
I'm not complaining about psychics. As long as they don't leave their precog on and answer your questions before you ask them. :U

prolly at the end of that, there was (half), just to be different, right? :p
(and then there was that national guardsman changing his name to Optimus prime (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optimus_Prime_(person)))
so it's not entirely wierd.. .... i think..
Geez, and I thought the names *I* came up (for the characters in a short story I've been writing with the intention of turning it into a webcomic) with were weird...
But changing your name to Optimus Prime.. that really takes the biscuit...

Meh.
What about Frederic Koch (http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9D03E2DE1F39F937A25750C0A963948260)
Mr. Coke-Is-It, father of the Olympic skier Bill Koch, changed his name in Windham County Superior Court in November because he was irritated by people who mispronounced his name as ''Kotch.'' But Coca-Cola objected to the use of its trademark.

I hear that was actually common in ancient Rome. They would name their kids in the order they were born. (Unus, Duus, Tresus, (okay, I made those up). Octavius would be 8th, etc.)
A few of my dad's cousins(all brothers) are named Primo(oldest), Secondo(middle), and Terzo(youngest). If you don't know Italian, that's first, second...obviously, and third ;-;
Not kidding.
Sometimes I wonder if some parents intentionally give their children bad names *shifty eyes*
Quote from: modelincard on December 28, 2006, 09:04:30 PMI hear that was actually common in ancient Rome. They would name their kids in the order they were born. (Unus, Duus, Tresus, (okay, I made those up). Octavius would be 8th, etc.)
Actually, that was the standard for the girls. The first would be named after the family (Julia, Claudia, Cornelia, &c.), then the girls would be named in order of birth (Secunda, Tertia, Quarta, &c).
Octavian was not the eighth child, the Octavius refers to his family name (so, for example, his first daughter should be named Octavia--except that Octavian was adopted by Julius Caesar, so he named her Julia)
There was a set of Peanuts strips where a family changed their last name to the ZIP code, I think.
Some time ago, I met a guy named "Ehecatl", that´s the name of the aztec god of wind, and a friend told me that a friend of both called her son "Tyr Aldebaran". "Tyr" after a deity in the setting Forgotten Realms of Dungeons & Dragons, and "Aldebaran" after the Gold Saint in the Knight of Zodiac (Saint Seiya for the purist)
I bet that you make this face :erk after knowing this fact...
Optimus Prime got mentioned earlier... how about that celebrity than named their kid Moon Unit?

Bah. Forget the guy who did that. I'm more interested in the guy who named his son Dweezil.
...Oh, right.
Frank Zappa, IIRC.
Dweezil Zappa. Moon Unit Zappa. Sounds a lot like an insect device...
Taski, I sent you a PM about Bon. Hopefully you get it before the 24th, or at least the 26th.
this thread has really devollved into a name game. what about people who name their children Binky or boys named Susan or duane
Mr and Mrs Pipe, you mean? :-)
Well, I have not heard from Taski, so I whipped up something different that what I originally suggested.... but here is the art thus far.... Bon took up two panels... each of the other cameo's took only one cameo.
Completed strip will be released Friday. I'll post it here if that's alright.
I think it's alright. I liked the cameo very cool.
thanks :) I think I coulda done a little bit better. I might do an art piece at a different point. Bon is a fun character. :D
Hope Taski sees it
Note: We are refering to SOMEONE ELSE named Zelda... signifying that the Communication Crystal Tech is messing up.

You can just ask instead of wonder ;)
When I started my comic, I understood that it would probably be crappy and noone would read it (it spawned from utter depression, and is now anything but), so I made a few goals: 1) make it about whatever I want, even if other will not get it (screw them, its for "me", basically) and (2) Have as many cameos as possible where applicable.
So I plan to have cameos a lot. In fact there are at least 3 more cameos (a couple are extended cameos) before this arc is over... and after that I have one more pair of cameos, and then for the next arc, I have a group of cameos.
As far as this crystal communication sequence goes... I don't have plans to extend this, if I did I might cameo a character from Beastling (as hosted on Xepher.net like DMFA and my PSI are), but other than that, I was going to continue the story on Monday.

I've been to your site and I love it. Just keep doing what are you doing right now you have a following there and in my insignificant opinion that your comic is way cool.
Nice to see someone else remembers God and Anathus.
Pity that stopped updating...

Thanks very much! I try to keep doing what I do, and the current Arc is my biggest and most complex project. I'm hoping I can pull it off.

Acid Reflux is the second time I never got explicit permission to do a cameo. (they are unreachable) The first time was when I made a DMFA Mow doll during the "Going Camping" Arc... Amber never got back to me on e-mails so I just did a little little cameo... I know she's busy and all... I every other webcomic cameo has been through permission.
