yay! more angry-merlitz face! xD hmm, how plot convienient... ah well, let the randomness and insanity begin!

Of course you don't drink it, you eat it.
The similarities are shocking :dface
Yay for long story arcs! Whee!
He just hates his life dont he folks :P
Yup!
Woot! Angry Merlitz Face! :ipod
We need an angry Merlitz smilie :) Or maybe one where he holds the power of toast :p
either Abel is really good or Dan was right about the two of them being similar.
Hehe, angry faces are fun! :mowhappy
Someone give Abel some cookies and he be fine in no times ;3
From the cast pages...
QuoteThe brown tips of Abel's hair is a natural thing. If he cuts his hair, the ends will automatically turn brown.
Oh no, the fake Merlitz is going to have brown tips on his... umm... brown hair. :erk
..and this strip shows exactly why I wanted to voice Merlitz in the radio project >:3
Whoa! ..... And under the circumstances, I thought it would be Dan who went into PMS mode!
I love the angry Merlitz look. Man he needs to chill if he have these anger issues all bottled up he will throw some fireballs *duck* at somebody .
Dan PMSing? How, and for what reason?
...Either way, Abel seems to know the part whether he realizes it or not...
*passes out from all the joy of the angry-Merlitz face*
I find his stripes hypnotizing.

The angry Merlitz face just made my day. *begins to saunter off* Hey, wait a sec, is that a DeviantArt hug icon we have up there? O_o and a DA eager face... *blink....blink*
I think Merlitz needs a hobbie to calm him down a bit or a new girlfriend. I think those Angry looks he does is hillarious but scary at the same time.
It's odd, I actually don't remember Merlitz having that kind of attitude or temper :B Maybe I just didn't pick up on it.

I don't think we ever saw him in a really foul mood except when another man tried to pick him up in the nightclub. But he's always come across as being angsty, at least that's how I've seen him. The only time I remember him as being actually happy is in #274 (which is shortly before something terrible happens anyway) and in his last strip where he's talking to Aliyka.
**EDIT**
Oh - and really early in the strip when he does the 'Merlitz and the Human' backstory.
By the way, since I like long epic songs, long epic storylines are also good in my book :mowmeep

Naah... Danielle can handle her liquor. She's been living off ale for several years now, so this won't be a problem. Unless Alexsi has a less forgiving metabolism. :giggle Now that would be bad. Imagine if a drunken Danielle started flirting with Merlitz-Abel. Now that would be awkward. Hooray for awkwardness! :cheers

I missed the angry Merlitz face, and now it's back! Yaaaay! :boogie :ipod
*smirks* Dan is like Vulcans, they can handle their liquor. *Star Trek reference! He's a nerd!* :B
Amber, if you feel like your story is going too long, just remember... the next Harry Potter book is gonna be something like 1,000 pages... now add all the other books together.
And then take Inuyasha...
And Dragon Ball Z before it...
And Naruto...
All these things are classic examples of dragging a story out painfully (especially Naruto with the frequent entire episode-long flashbacks... god I can't stand when they do that. That's why I download episodes; I can skip those.)
Until you've reached comic #5000 with no resolution to anything, no one can realistically complain that you're progressing too slowly. Personally, I think the pacing is just right. But then, I'm very patient... just look at my world domination plans... >:3
We can hope Dan does not get drunk and ruin everything. I bet Alexis 'Dan is going to screw-up!' senses will tingle and she will bust free, punt the ebil ferret (Not Wildy. Wildy is the Awseome Ebil Ferret (This aside paid for by the Wildy Is Awsome, Ebil, and A Ferret Foundation)), run home, and beat Dan senseless.
:kittencute (By the way, I added this because it is CUTE! ^.^ (This aside brought to you by the Kittens are CUTE Foundation))

Pretty angry face... but it's not the same without the real Merlitz. I wonder how he's doing.

We don't have an actress for Delna..
Delna? I don't like psychology much, but all's fair if it's just acting. Do you think I'd be accepted for that part?
I'd accept you for that. :-)

We don't know what her ethnic background and accent is, so I don't see why not. I'll admit she doesn't have many parts at the moment, but we don't know who the voiceover is in #425, so I was going to 'make it be' her to give more material for the actress. Currently I'm doing that one.
Return of the ANGRY MERLITZ FACE!
But back to the fun stuff :mowcookie
I though Dan was going through PMS for a moment then I red the comic. At first Dan was Angist, then he was like normal (it's been a long time coming), then he was like happy (Finally Dan happy).
All in all I think that the Magic cosmedics was well placed. Dan acts like his sister some times (though she's more mature) and Abel is just like Merlitz.
Even the Angry Merlitz Face is so accurate, though the Happy Alexsi looks scarry.
Though I wouldn't worry about Dan getting Drunk... What I would worry about is that one of the Revewers being able to see though the disguise, hitting on Dan or Dan hitting on her (or him).
Abel and Merlitz must be twins seperated by like 300+ years :mowtongue

The only place I can find Delna speaking is in 235, where she has two lines. Everywhere else she has appeared, she hasn't said anything.
Perhaps we should list all the people who appear in the comic, and where? Or is that too much like hard work? :-)
Right now I see Danielle getting drunk and hitting on Merlitz/Abel I like that non-stop fun on this roller coaster of terror.

That actually started a good while ago. At the very least since the SAIA arc, quite possibly earlier (didn't check many of the earlier comics, so I can't say for sure). Here's an early example (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_527.php) from the SAIA arc.
It does reflect the mood of Merlitz too, you know... Well, it would if he were actually there. But personally, I think Merlitz has every right to be angry, and so does Abel, what with everyone going over their heads.
Abel is just filled with..hate! Hate! HATE! :3

(yes, it's true, I really have no life... :B )
You can pull the cast list off my site, or you can look at the one on the DMFA radio project page. They don't totally match, but listing the places where they don't might be worthwhile as well.
I'm happy to update mine, but in some cases, I prefer my own titles for the unknown folks. Of course, I have a perverse sense of humour, anyway...
So when the terror of this interview will start. Before Lost Lake is burned to the ground, and the angry mob will come after Abel with torches and pitchforks :mwaha.
i would expect Abel to burn the the inn after all Dan called Merlizt lord of the flam once and Abel seems to be channelling him big time.
Abel is channeling the inner Angry Merlitz Face and inner Merlitz.
Abel knows magic but his down side is that he beats his foes through magic and annoying them into submission.
If something happens things will be worse for the troublemakers. Dan is quite skilled in concealing swords and Abel is quite skilled in magic. Between the two of them the troublemakers will be either annoyed to death or cut to ribbons.
I really don't understand how Abel can be a good combatant and still afraid of blood though. From personal experience I can tell that if you manage to avoid drawing blood in any way, even in something so simple as a fist fight, you're lucky.
Well, maybe it's just me. But I still think that it's strange.

You're thinking in too conventional dimensions. For Cubi, "combat" doesn't end at the "swords" level. It ends somewhere in the "fireball and meteor strike" level (I guess). Or forceshift the opponent into something else. Or mind-control the victim into strangling itself. Or just restrict the victim with tentacles while you strangle the it. Or summon a tidal wave and let them drown.
The possibilities are endless if you got magic at your disposal. Sure, he won't use that fancy sword-summon trick for combat (I guess), but that doesn't mean he sucks at combat :P
Styg - he's very very good.
just look at him and Merlitz, in SAIA. He managed to get Merl nailed to the floor, by half a dozen swords/knives/blades or more, without cutting him at all. Or getting hurt, either. If that's not skillful, I don't know what is.

:yeahthat
I know Abel is capable to do anything if he puts his mind to it. If I fought him I take in consideration of everything in his arsenal and try to beat him. Give me Double Edged Katana's with my skills in guns and Flash Bang grenades, and I come out on top.
you fore that they have access to weapons as well. maybe not high tech like you be the are limited to toasters and crossbows.
In (semi-)reference to the topic, I have to say that the new 'hybrid' Abel looks more like Abel than Merlitz. Maybe it's jusst me, I dunno. :B
I think it's a testimony to the fact that Abel and Merlitz seem to be very much alike. Well, perhaps not in taste of clothing or other certain preferences, but... they both seem to respond quite similarily in certain situations. Though Abel is obviously a bit more neurotic and seems to get bored more easily than Merlitz.
And as for our dear Dr. Ink, mentioned above, I understand his plight very very well. I too would be more of a nice, balanced and friendly being, if people had a bit more of a sense of humour in them...
QuoteI have to say that the new 'hybrid' Abel looks more like Abel than Merlitz.
I think so, too. But maybe that's only because we see Abel way more often with an angry face than Merlitz.

.. and smaller, less shiny buttons.
Which is about the same thing, yes (NO, I am not going to say that other people are more "vulnerable" than I! I am not even going to suggest it, because I AM NOT A CONCEITED B***H!). All people are vulnerable in some ways, but with a good sense of humour and some distance you can avoid taking blows to your ego very well.

Nope I think it's six sided. That's how I see it in my head. But in any case I will make it simple and level the playing field just swords alone. But the Angry Merlitz look is so funny in many levels.

A broken philosophy? Oer perhaps merely a vague stamp in that direction?
