I was worried about Dan at first, but I think we may have just met the next of Hizell's monthly assassins to challenge Pyroduck.
And Jyrras doesn't seem to be aware that he's given her the directions to get to poor Pyro. Has he been made aware of the last assassination attempt, I wonder?

I'm not certain, but I don't think so. He's been mostly locked away from reality, barring Lorenda and Chicki, and neither of them frequent the inn.
That was surprisingly Orky from Chikki. Red onez go fastah!
I think Tashatani already knows where Lost Lake is, so Jyrras hasn't done anything beyond recommend a place she was already going.
It's sad.
Also yes, Chiki is feeling very orky at this moment.
I do like the blurred foreground/background effect, as it puts the focus on the cast while still showing characters are there.
In the first panel, is it supposed to be "second commander" instead of second commender?

Most likely, but the proper route for typos is to go directly to Amber about it, not the forum. Her email is in the thread of forum rules.

Also keep in mind that Jyrras just had an extremely traumatic incident that saw hizil almost murder his boyfriend, in front of him.
He's not going to be very happy to learn that one of the same guy's servants was able to get so close to him without him noticing.

No indeed.
Wait... the dark blue on the left side of her face, her left shoulder, and her left hind leg... Are those scars? :mowdizzy
Edit: That rainbow fur in the background of panel two... How does she keep blending in like this?!?

I noticed that and by the way she keeps her eye closed I believe they may be burn scars.
And yeah I didn't notice her at first either!

In a world where a bunch of people are multi-limbed mythos and dragons and fae and so much more, being a walking rainbow isn't all that surprising.
I find one of the only reasons I stand out is because I have a unique combination of muttonchops, a pony tail, and glasses. If I cut my hair and shaved my facial hair I'd blend in a lot more.
There's also a way to behave/walk that's sometimes called "gray man", where you don't do anything that makes you stand out, so you don't stand out.
...She really has turned that skill into an art though. The only person better was a chameleon who had no common sense.
Also... I'm betting Bloodwing is a gentle and cuddly gryphon and gives the best hugs. Now Fluffles? That's the gryphon who's dangerous!

It all sort of makes you wonder just how intentional this seemingly random encounter is and what the true objectives are.
Is she possibly spying on Jyrras or Abel? Is she actually a future assasin or is Hitzell looking into more traditional means of gathering intelligence on things to try to pick up Destania's sent again?
Truth be told, I imagine her last stop to be another attempt on Ducky's life, but she could be doing more than that. The way she said last stop about the inn might be taken she has multiple places she plans to visit that might involve more than simple site seeing.

Hizell has announced his intent to protect Abel to spite Destania, so it is possible he sent one of his minions to keep Jy unbothered as a sidenote to that. But she also stated that she's only in Zinvth to buy supplies for her camping trip, so I think it was just coincidence (and a chance to introduce her to the audience before she arrives at the inn).
If she is looking for Destania, it won't be at the inn, because Hizell has stated that aside from Pyroduck he has "nothing of interest" there anymore, and he's sending his minions to deal with Pyroduck, not handling him personally.

I don't think that Hizill decided to protect Abel so much as call a one sided truce.

Maybe, though considering what her said rank might represent, there's a bit of the feeling that Hizell is wasting his higher ranked servants just to push Ducky.
It makes me wonder if something shifted his priorities a bit off stage or maybe Mabs final words to him shifted his plans a bit. While I'm not sure of anything about Tasha at this point. The possibility of Hizell sending out feelers instead of assasins doesn't seem too unlikely.
But another idea could be if Mab's threat rang threatening enough, the Inn does suite another purpose. Of course, it's a bit more worrying, The inn just might be a part of a circling of the city to make sure Abel stays put and looking for Destinai. So there might be more of Tasha people showing up around the main Cast.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
"Second commander of the Crimson Watch."
I wonder if that's a front group, or if it's something that can be tied to Hizell. If Jyrras looks that up out of curiosity, he might see that the kindly mythos is actually an agent of Hizell's and potentially up to no good.
Jyrras might unwittingly help Pyroduck by capturing Tashatani before she attacks him, or by giving him advance warning, which would allow them to plan to capture her.

Given that the implication thus far is that her entire race serves Hizell and that her sacred quest ends at Lost Lake, my guess is that the Crimson Watch are a particular group of his servants. Perhaps elites?

Sounds a reasonable hypothesis. Like Emperor Palpatine's Red Guard.
