Kitome, you'll need to dock about 11 pixels off the height of the Avatar and then it will be usable on CMF - there's a 175x175 maximum here and if it's too big it doesn't display the avatar.
General images including signatures have a 500x500 limit and will be resized (horribly) if they are too big. I had to shrink mine width-wise :P
Alternatively, assuming you're running, say, a 700 wide and 200 high sig, you could slice it into two, and simply link them both in...
... but that'd be sneaking around the rules and all...
