I love the implication from Mink that Aaryanna went through ALL those various styles (and presumably social groups) in one summer.

I wonder if that was one of Aary's three kills or if she just horribly maimed him.

Also, Grease reference? I forget if Sandy was a cheerleader.

Killing him over a trifle like that would be a political nightmare between the clans, so I'm assuming she did not incite a war.

Yeah, easier to smooth over the odd cuts, scrapes and bruises, as it were.

Hahaha now I'm just thinking how many wars three of my own clans (EFM) must constantly be in. It's "official" that Taun had to send reinforcement to convince them to move when a Dragon found out where they were, because they were so violent they pretty much didn't even consider not fighting XD

Sounds a bit like medieval Scotland.

I've been toying the idea of a clan that doesn't have any external rivalries per se, but is pretty fratricidal (Their clan quirk leads to being-like birth rates which are just barely able to cover the attrition from inter-line warfare and constant defection to other clans. The clan itself is basically only held together by pure spite and some other weirdness that leads to members being bizarrely tenacious). In general I imagine that Taun often has to confront hard questions about how to respond when it's the cubi themselves who are endangering themselves or each other. I wouldn't be suprised if it was a big motivator for their eventual alliance with Seme.
