10-01 - Trial by X-ray

Alright, who left the rotary air transfer unit next to the leaky septic pipe?  :B

Religious fanatics are bad news, it is no surprise that things went south as fast as they did.

Let's hope help arrives before they hit the pole and find Amundsen's flag. (Forgive the geography humour)

10-03 - So you want to play rough, eh...?

Poor choice there Jason. These Zealots seem like the kind of crazy to double down rather than fold, no matter how bad the hand they've been delt. No, I don't know why I went with a card game metaphor there.  :mowdizzy

No, no, nerdy humor is the best humor. Especially if it requires a Google search to understand the punchline.

He's having a massive power moment and I can totally get that vibe. it's the "lets see how deep the rabbit hole goes" mentality when you're already flying down into said hole headfirst. Enjoy the ride.

10-04 - The Church are also good at playing rough

The thing about diving down a rabbit hole, one needs to be careful not to land on one's head. :mowdizzy

Makes you long for the type of church where its just some dudes manual to good house building that turns into a 30 minute sermon on how "thou shalt build thine house upon the rock for yay, it will stand the test of time that of which is much different to the lowly sinner who buildest his house upon the loose sand much like his morals."

If we ever manage to get the dragon comic started, the religion in that series is a lot more like what you describe.

10-05 - Unexpectedly guests

Oh no, the Opossum is escalating the situation again. Clearly this royal never learned the lesson of cutting one's losses and throwing money at the consequences until they go away. As terrible a lesson as it may be, simply bribing others to look the other way has a long history of working. Not to be confused with "Appeasement", of course. That NEVER works.

I vaguely remember a story where the "Holy Text" was an electronics magazine. Can't remember what it was from, though.

Yeah, I did that in the panther origin story.

Can't help it but religion and electronics always makes me think of this.

Well, it's nice to know it stuck.

There are various other things that inspired it anyway, like the Scientific People in "The Stars My Destination".

10-08 - Lady Featherstone certainly thinks big

I don't know about the rest of you lot, but I rather think one's client straight out admitting she wants to overthrow a King (one whose realm is friendly to 'Cubi, no less) might be the reddest flag of them all.

At this point the oppossum is well and truly out of the bag, but they have the slight problems that:
1. They are now trapped in enemy territory
2. They do want to get paid and that means putting up with Lady Featherstone until they can get her to sign off on the job
3. They want to learn as much as they can before leaving so their allies will know exactly what they'll be facing

A white flag of surrender, stained red with the heart's blood of the one who once held it. Now used as her battle standard, kept bright and shiny from being soaked in the blood of her victims.

In other words, she might be part Redcap.
