Lovely portrait of Mab in panel 2. Not sure if the room in panel three is meant to be the smithy or some sort of dungeon...

I was wondering the same but, those tongs are on an anvil so smithy seems to be more logical option.

Hard to tell, it is lacking the obvious tortury bits such as clasps, My best guess is an empty bellows rack, it has a supporting beam on the front, what looks to be a metal bar on the back and a chain.
I can somehow hear Merlin in the back of my head screaming: "Stop focusing on the stupid wooden frame, what about the epic vaulted ceiling!!!!" ...strange.

That would be quite the irony.
Since it looks like we just took something from the Fae, there's no telling what will happen next!

Not quite sure what you mean. He's in the first panel since he'd want to be there to greet Xerian when he returns.
Now he might have magicked the camera up in the last panel, but it's equally possible that he was filming Xerian come in to land.
Ok, so I took some time to try to translate this. If I did it right it reads as this, note that the non English is Dragon language which I can only imagine was translated from English to Dragon and boy is that NOT friendly to translate back to english.
Literal translation
Daar Sul Thur Se Fahdon Mul
Naak Tiid TODAY Fahdon Mul s
LORDSHIP SHALL BEGIN
Bahloni Nahkip Ziil Se Him
Dovahkiin Rosaan
MY BELLY IS FULL OF THE SOUL
OF YOUR PRE-EY-IOUS Dovahkiin
I***fer You Mortal - lo-ei***
Fo*** one last Ey-han-ey-e *** Ei-e
Me, or die
So se krongrah
*** he sorrow of ei--i-ey-to
Eons ey-an do things
Humans Ey-annot
My interpertation with translations to english:
This day the rule of my strong friend
Eating time "today" strong friend "s"
"Lordship shall begin"
"Bahloni" is fed by the soul of "him"
Dragonborn "rosaan"
"My belly is full of the soul"
"Of your precious" dragonborn
"I *** fer you mortal - lo-ei ***"
"Fo *** one last ey-haneye *** Ei-e"
"Me, or die"
Sorrowfull is your victory
"*** he sorrow of ei-ieyto"
"Eons can do things"
"humans cannot"

Very good! This is the actual text:
DAAR SUL THUR SE FAHDONMUL NAAKTIID
TODAY FAHDONMULS LORDSHIP SHALL BEGIN
BAHLOKI NAHKIP ZIIL SE HIM DOVAHKIIN ROSAAN
MY BELLY IS FULL OF THE SOUL OF YOUR PRECIOUS DOVAHKIIN
I OFFER YOU MORTAL-LOVING FOOLS ONE LAST CHANCE - SERVE ME, OR DIE
SO SE KRONGRAH
THE SORROW OF VICTORY
PIGEONS CAN DO THINGS THAT HUMANS CANNOT
...Most of them are dovahzul with the english version below it. ("precious" being translated into dovahzul as "beloved" since that was the closest equivalent. 'ros' = love, 'aan' is a modifier for perfect tense)
The first pair are from the end of my Skyrim video "Fahdonmul's Destiny" which is about a dragon taking the place of the dragonborn and slaying Alduin. The next few lines, from Alduin, and Fahdonmul's reflections on victory being bittersweet were taken from a written story which expands on the storyline from the Fahdonmul videos.
"So se krongrah" was translated from scratch, the other two are parodying dovahzul sentences from he game itself. One is based on the line said by "Mr. Dragon" in the Elder Scroll cutscene just before he's murdered, where he's saying that Alduin's lordship will be restored ("Daar sul thur se Alduin vokrii") and also Alduin's line about soul-eating ("Bahloki nahkip sillesejoor" or something)
After that I started to run out of dragon dialogue, so the last line about the pigeons is from "Skyrim Badly Translated".
There was also Alduin's line "MY SON BALAJI NASHEED SIRAJUL IS FULL OF THE DAWAKI SPIRIT" from Badly Translated Skyrim, but that got clipped out the bottom of the tablet.

Thanks! It was a fun thing to do as I didn't recognize the runes at first but it clicked when I thought of IT-HE Software (PLUG http://it-he.org/front.php) and remembered TES:Skyrim's anti walkthrough (among many other great stuff) I was trying to connect it to the world of Furrae or Daryil so that's where i had some issues and was very much confused when Dovahkiin popped up on paper!
I'm also happy that it didn't contain any actual story elements that were going to be translated in the next pages and ruin the big reveal causing a writer's crisis!
I'm thankful to ya both for posting the translations >w>..
After gloomhaven my brain just can't handle any more translating different writing systems <w<;;

You might want to toss in a projector while you are at it. Film reels might be too "analog" for them.
...and on that note, I received a new PC for Christmas, and had to immediately go out and buy an external disk drive. Heck, the tower doesn't even have a slot for an internal drive to go! On the plus side, it also reads Blu-Ray, so I don't have to boot up my PS5 to watch a movie.

As Jakob will say next page, this is exactly why they chose that medium. An optical disc would mean getting the laser wavelength right, figuring out how to read multiple layers for a Blu-ray or DVD9 disc, figuring out the modulation scheme, figuring out which way round the bits go and how they're arranged into bytes, then figuring out the ECC scheme, and then, once you have a valid byte stream, how the bytes go into words/dwords/qwords. Then you're going to have to reverse-engineer the filesystem, figure out how the video container file works (which could be encrypted if that's a mandatory part of the standard), figure out how the compression scheme works - and there may be several - and turn that into something which your display systems can parse. You also have to figure out how the audio works, though I think that can be raw PCM on blu-ray, but even then that could be 'interesting' since there's a lot of permutations, endianness issues and so on.
...Or you could build a machine to scan a series of pictures and write software to parse the AM audio track.

Yeah, as I recall, the Outer Rim scenario which is the default canon for Synths (but is optional) is that it's set 10'000 years in our future or suchlike. The furres, dragons and lizardfolk are descendants of genetically-engineered servants - who then went on to mechanically-engineer their own servants.
It may be because they're somewhat aware of their own status as ex-servants that they've treated their own creations very compassionately.
18-08 - Screw you guys, I'm going home

Good news: The ship isn't in any worse shape than when you took off.
Bad news: It was already on the verge of Critical Existence Failure, held together by bailing wire and Devine Intervention. Don't count your blessings until you land, turn off the engines, and get to Minimum Safe Distance.

Bringing in the professionals via a distress signal is definitely part of the plan.

...no, wait, that is the sequel. Sucks to be you, I guess. :P
