Gotta say, I'm really interested in this, seeing more of Bluff's story. And more aliens!
But now with this page I wonder.... how, physically, is Bluff making the sound in panel one? Is it an actual sound, or more of a psychic groan? I imagine the air is coming out his nose... but does his species have a larynx or syrinx or anything of that sort to add tone to the sound of rushing air? Probably mostly unused, since his species seems to do most of their communication telepathically... but still, it could be useful to have something with more tone and volume than a forceful "huff" or "hiss" to communicate with the non-sapient.
oh yeah, definitely nasal sounds. was my new cat on me at the time making nasal sounds into my face? possibly.
Snrk, now I'm imagining that Bluff exhales really forcefully through his nose at some point just to make a big HONK sound XD
