Isn't this some extremely illegal illusion magic he's performing here?
I would've thought using Jake's magic would preclude him serving Altair.
Jude magic ;)
I wasn't thinking illusions given the absence of leaves/feathers

I keep thinking back to this and realising, man you could do some ridiculously overpowered enchantments way more easily than regularly by using illusion magic as the base to create the enchantment. TAPEWOLF YOU HAVE OPENED UP A NEW WORLD OF MAGIC FOR ME.
That sounds like a much more fun version of Pandora's box. Instead of horrible ills the box is filled with fun comic ideas.

I can certainly see that for revealing the hidden symbols, but hiding them in the first place in such a way that it can be dispelled, that says 'Illusion' to me, though I'm definitely curious of other ways to do it. And whether people still get executed as tricksters for doing it the "not illusion magic, honest!" way...
Well, as a thought, what if instead of an illusion concealing them there was just a spell that kept the brain from recognizing them? Would that feel more like knowledge domain instead of trickery?
