Hello! Was pointed to DMFA via a link in one of the chats I frequent, and started reading through the comic from the first episode all the way to the most recent (2 hours reading time...woo). Quite an interesting read, and I'm definately hooked.
As you can probably see from my avatar and signature, I'm quite the Doctor Who fan. Saw an episode of the (new) series, so I started watching that and then...procured...the second series. Somewhere along there I remembered that the local PBS station shows the old Doctor Who episodes late on Saturday nights, so I've been watching those as well (Some Peter Troughton, a good bit of Jon Pertwee, and recently, all of Tom Baker; next episode is Revenge of the Cybermen). I have to say that I like the old series episodes more than the current....but the current series Daleks are far superior to the old Daleks ^^;
Anywho, hope to just generally enjoy myself here on the forums. I may not be as talkative/post as much as the average person, but rest assured I am keeping myself updated of...erm. Things o_O;
YAY!! i'm finally firsT!!
anywho, welcome to the forums!! have fun, stay away from me and Dakata when we've had sugar, and be prepared for massive amounts of cute!!

Hi! Welcome to this place of strangeness.
Leave whatever sanity you may possess at the door; it should be okay, as long as you wrap it properly, and hang on to your claim ticket.
I'm something of a Dr Who fan myself; I think Tom Baker was probably the best of them all so far (although Sylvester McCoy was pretty good, too...).
Have a welcome gift. *gives the new person a souvenir coffee mug*
Enjoy the forum, watch out for stampeding mows, and treat squirrels bearing baked goods with extreme caution.

Why would you want sanity? :P
... good question.
.. I'll just keep it in my collection, so nobody else gets hurt by it, ok?
Like my drama teacher would say...Why be normal
A lot of people around here have definately had their sanity stolen :P
Then again, as they say - "sanity is for the weak"
Welcome Dr Who fan! I haven't seen much of the first few series but I've watched all the new ones. Enjoy your stay. Beware the Mows. Trust no-one holding muffins.

Nicetameetcha!
What is this 'sanity' you speak of?
I don't know, but it had better come back soon, because people are taking the lack of it QUITE LITERALLY and it's disrupting the forum.
:< i need to watch Dr. Who....i've never sawed it :<

The best place for beginners to the series to start is with Jon Pertwee's incarnation of The Doctor (The Third Doctor), followed by Tom Baker's role as The Fourth Doctor. Or, if you want to take the more modern approach, you can watch the first season of the new Doctor Who series on Sci-Fi (Season Two is coming later this fall).
Personally, the classic version is better than the new version, IMHO :P

I submit that what you are seeing is not a dearth of sanity, but of self-discipline.
As for Dr. Who, My father persuaded me to watch it when the Tom Baker series aired on UK Gold around 1994 - and that was that. I think
Face of Evil and
Image of the Fendahl are my favourites, although there are a lot of very good ones.
Warriors Gate rates highly as well, and not because of the furry, I might add.
