Like how they look angry on the wanted posters

Yeah, it makes a small amount of sense to make the subject of a wanted poster look as menacing as possible. Kind of reminds me of this: https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwiKn_D70enmAhWoHzQIHe_iDPUQjRx6BAgBEAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.imdb.com%2Ftitle%2Ftt8011944%2F&psig=AOvVaw3rLQXPX_IHCjgioNzC2H_h&ust=1578216819743382

It's a toss-up, you make them look too harmless and no one will take it seriously but if you make them look too dangerous people will insist on a higher reward.

On this note, given that there's a massive anti-Jake pogrom going on, is Col going to have to go back to posing as a human?

I guess that would depend on how congruent their respective timelines are. It may be my headache at the moment but I don't recall getting any solid indicators that their stories are happening simultaneously.

Col and Nils' first appearance in DHS was actually a RE volume: http://dhscomix.com/comics/comic.php?v=37&p=Cover

Most recently, they appeared on the eleventh cell on this page as Saturn and co. were going home: http://dhscomix.com/comics/comic.php?v=63&p=46

Which is to say... we know Col is close enough to the epicenter of the tragedy that he may end up affected by it.

Col's pretty good at running the "shapeshifters aren't real i'm prolly just a weird halfie" scam in RE, maybe at some point in MotO we'll see how he got there

Thanks for the timeline clarity, I remembered them appearing in RE. Given that it was both of them there for the scoop it would seem that the events of RE take place at least a little ahead of the current arc in MOTO so that clarifies the timeline at least a bit. Unless my head-cannon is right and Col ends up investigating and befriending a time traveler and that's future Col.

And that is the perfect ruse to hide with.
