True, but what's in it for them? Money's a bit shallow when eternal not-quite life is in the offering. Then again, the deal might be that once he's a vampire he can turn them too... Assuming that even works for Yowies.
Yowie vampirism seems impractical. There might be two of them here, but aren't Yowie'e otherwise, pretty uncommon? They'd starve pretty quick.

They might just be some hired muscle that doesn't know the score yet. We don't really know how much they've overheard. Though a smart guy might've hired them on the pretense of sharing their vampiric gifts and then just hurl them through a few buildings once they get them.
