"Basement" is just a nicer way of saying dungeon (http://dhscomix.com/comics/comic.php?v=1&p=12a), right? I guess this is when the other hero school kids show up... I get the feeling sending two troublemakers to meet three other troublemakers is one of the less good ideas Mana has had.
