Does the same thing apply to people who don't recover Gods' magic?
Like... can a Rhinocerops/Griff/Mimic/Golem be a follower of a Magic God, not receive their magic, but somehow still increase that God's power and influence? And what about people who have innate magic, like Fey? They probably can't receive any other God's magic on top of their own magic, right. That would just be... ridiculously OP.
Fey confirmed for OP. They usually wouldn't bother learning regular magic god magic though, takes way more effort than their own innate magic which is usually OP enough. But some absolutely do. Deimi's dad should appear at some point, (maybe, probably,) and he's like that - an elementalist-fey.
Most of the non-magic people are essentially in the same boat as dragons though. They could do that, but they usually wouldn't. Golems tend to worship the perception gods for reasons though, which will come up... at some point *points to the far-flung future*
With the people not eligible for getting magic from a god, do they still face the same judgement deal when they die? Because that's typically the other reason to suck up to them, for some kind of reward after you die.
