Title: 2016/07/18 [DMFA #1680] Culture shock
Post by: Tapewolf on July 18, 2016, 04:23:08 AM
Now that's interesting.  It didn't occur to me that Miss Kate would also be from a clothesless region given that she wears them pretty well.
It would kind of explain her obsession with selling them, though - "These are way cool!  You should have some too!"

And yes, finding that other people are not fireproof might come as a bit of a shock to Matilda.

I can't believe it didn't occur to me that Miss Kate's hair was a wig... :B

"They didn't stop thinking about whether they could, to think about whether they should..."

;-]

(I'm kidding. Of course you should have.)

I have to say, that's probably one of the single best faces that Amber has ever drawn.   :giggle

Hmm, acidic swamp enviromnent would ruin anyone's hair so now it's easy to understand, also Miss Kate's love for clothes.

Darn it! Another illusion ruined! I SO wanted to run my hands through Miss Kate's hair...

Wait! No officer, I was just joking!

Ahahaa, I wonder just how far into Matilda's education on races outside her own "we aren't all fireproof" came XD

...Damn it. Now I wanna reread the entire comic and see if all the various characters of a reptilian species we have seen in the comic have hair or not and if they do have hair wonder if it is a wig like Miss Kates or not.

:disappointment:
With magic, it could be entirely real. She's been shown wearing different outfits, but her hair looked like it was the same hair, styled differently.

http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_1491.php
http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_1675.php

(And now that I've reviewed them, her hair has been styled the same in the two most recent appearances.)

So, she either has one wig that she restyles, several wigs with the same basic hair in different styles, or it's her own (magically crafted) hair.

Fair point, it would be possible, but the KatBox DMFA site has comments under the comic saying it is a wig iirc.
