I remember they told us at school that Amazons used to burn their daughters' right breasts in Greek mythology in order to get em boobs out of the way for archery, hence the term "a-mazos" meaning "without a breast". But it turns out all Greek depictions of Amazons show women with a complete set of bazookas, so historians don't believe in that pseudo-etymological horror story any more...
What about a transgender person using female pronouns... could they become an amazon? And if being a maiden is based on the physical (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_891.php) rather than the spiritual... Dan has been turned into an amazon back when he posed as Quintinga's daughter for a reporter at Lost Lake. Well, anyway Danna has been considered an amazon before. I guess the irony thickens.

Until someone said that Tikka was an Amazon, and that it was an Amazon rule regarding how she talked, I didn't give it a lot of thought, but I'll admit that I'm used to settings where even if the Amazonian tribes aren't united they do share all of the same religious rules. I think this might be the first one that doesn't.
