Now, I know the topic of word origins came up earlier (what with the Danishes) but using the word lunatic to refer to a madman in front of Dark Powers seems kind of insensitive.
Anyways... I don't think Ada's ever seemed empathetic towards someone before. it could be because she, along with everyone else in the scene, seems to have realized that could have been their left arms being chopped off.
It did occur to me between then and now that there might be a connection between danishes and Gardenia (as in "Hwæt! Wē Gār-Dena in gēar-dagum...").
Though maybe dark powers are responsible for the word "lunatic"? After all, you have to figure most people's perspectives on this strife are filtered through a diurnal lens...
