Post by: bradypodidae on December 16, 2014, 07:58:29 AM
Congratulations to Gabi for completing her studies and putting in so much hard work and earning her Doctor of Philosophy. Again she proves to be the All Purpose Fox!

Dr. Gabi. Has an awesome ring to it, doesn't it! ;-)

Hard work and enlightenment!

even if i havent spoken to her in a while i wish her celebrations and jubilations, hopefully she will be a tad less buisy and can enjoy herself

getting a doctorate is a life goal i would like to work for, but it is a daunting and eventual task, much respect for someone who achived the goal

Uh... Thank you! Both of you.  :hug I really wasn't expecting to find this on the forum. :)

And thanks, Brady, for your PM enlightening me about what PhD stands for...

So a PhD in Computer Science means Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science. What about the people who get a PhD in Philosophy?

According to UC Berkeley's Department of Philosophy, yes, when someone receives a PhD in Philosophy they are indeed a Doctor of Philosophy in Philosophy.
