When it comes to Fae, you just KNOW that a backstory is going to be wacky and sporadic. I wonder why this Queen Nutmeg had made Mab leave the Fae Kingdom in the first place. I also wonder if we're going to take more of a look at Mab's parents after their brief cameo during a flashback (hate those) in the SAIA arc.
Oh, and would you look at that! Albanion's mane-patterning is back! Oh happy day!

Yup. But that basically narrows it down to you/Neni or a new character. The others--Albanion, Mab and Nutmeg--don't seem likely.
I'm just trying to figure out where the story is going. A soul is valuable. Giving that to a new character with whom the readers don't have any emotional connection is a risky venture, but if Amber can pull it off, she might earn the title of Iron Writer.

Actually this can mean that any friend of Mab is a friend of the family, so basically it can be any character Mab is a friend of, a new character, or some plot device that causes the soul to not go to a friend.
Mabye it was more meant as a will?

It wouldn't explain why her mother wouldn't also have one, or if she did the kingdom clearly doesn't honor it(Nutmeg), but will honor the fathers'. (Possible love interest between Mab's dad and the Queen? Settling old scores?) I don't think Amber has nearly gone deep enough yet into this, she has plenty of options. ;)
I don't think Neni and Azlan in the comic particularly want a kid yet. Doesn't seem the style.
I imagine Albanion's hair (and spots, apparently) colors flow like water. Having seen the effect on computer graphics(animated texture, applied to an object by Camera space. Simple to do, using the right graphics engine), I know it looks pretty cool.

Mab and Nutmeg are characters taken form Shakespeare's plays, Fairies if I remember correctly, but they weren't in the same play. Heck they weren't even in the genre; one was in a poem spoke by Mercruscio, in Romeo in Juliet; a tragedy, and the other was a lesser character in A Midsummer's Night Dream, a Comedy.
Now I feel like a nerd for knowing all that.

I believe it was said that we can't really consider all the wallpaper stuff canonical because Azlan and Neni were/are owned by real people and that particular wallpaper was drawn based off of the actual Furcadian characters.. Neni in the Comic's continuity is most likely a fae...

Now, This would be a Twist (maybe).... Mab's Mother tells Mab that her father and mother have a solution to get Mab back into the Fae realm. They have to die, but Mab can only be allowed to re-enter the kingdom, IF Mab forgives Queen Nutmeg and let's the Queen have one of her parents' souls...
But frustrated Mab gives Azlan and Neni both souls....Just to get the Fae to shut up, and stop buggy her for the new souls.

Well seeing as how the Queen is Nutmeg and not her mom, I kinda doubt it. It could be possible though through some weird switched at birth thing, or Mab's mom is really her adopted mom. I just don't see that happening though.

Just be happy it's not Inuyasha pacing, in which you'd be fighting the same bad guy, who almost gets destroyed then comes back over and over, for virtually the entire story without end.
It'd be like Dark Pegasus resurrecting again and again and getting more power each time so Dan has to keep getting new powers, but be careful lest his ebil cubi blood take control... uh-oh... I may have given Amber ideas with which to torment us! :U

Or Mab is a royalty, but not in the immediate line of succession. Prince Albert II von Thurn und Taxis is never going to be king of Germany, and I don't think anyone from Thurn und Taxis ever was.

Unless Mab's parents want to die that way. Who says the deaths have to be gruesome and gross. They could be like a space opera type death. Or Soap Opera or perhaps any number of ways to die that is entertaining to the masses. Heck it could even be a Shakespearian type death on stage.

Depends what you teach. If you teach his early work, it's crap. I still say Romeo and Juliet is atrociously written. Titus Andronicus is unbelievably bad. A Midsummer Night's Dream is simple, lowbrow slapstic comedy.
Let me clarify--it's
hilarious simple, lowbrow slapstic comedy, but it's not the pinnacle of English literature.
Shakespeare's later works are far, far better. In Shakespeare's Othello, the message is one that was diametrically opposed to the original, and shows a level of tolerance that was virtually unheard of in those days. Hamlet, The Tempest, and Much Ado about Nothing are all rightly considered to be the classics that they are. I have never been steered wrong by a Shakespearian history, but Holinshed may have something to do with that.

I dunno, I got the impression from Azlan's various punchlines that all these things "just happened" — that Neni is a crash-bang-wallop-earthshatteringkaboom magnet in the same way as many manga and anime characters are weirdness magnets. The only thing I remember that could point to Neni being a bit... erm... hasty :rolleyes is that "haven't been home in three months" line of Azlan's.
