Going to be interesting to see how this turns out.  Everyone has been having alot of problems lately in the comic.  Just like Amber unfortunately... >.>

You know, I think this is the first time we see the she-devi--I mean Alexsi's tail. And Dan is the perfect scapegoat, because he can't die.

Edited to get a name right.

Most revolving around Jyrras, except for Dan and Alexi.

Edit: Just because you can live a long life doesn't mean you'll get the chance.

I give him just ten more seconds like that before he dies and we get a new main character. But somehow Abel and Mab's Furry Adventures just doesn't have the same ring to it. AMFA is easier to say, though.

I fear what could happen should dan become unconcious. I see ripped off heads if it happens.

and dan's already died once. I'm sure jy-jy has something up his mad-scientist sleeve if it happens again.

I'm a little surprised to see who Abel was begging for aid.  Somehow, I would have expected Abel to be stating that the power of nip compels them.

In fact, that's the perfect solution to this scenario: nip bomb!  Go on Amber, you know you want to.

Stand back, I have this and I'm not afraid to use it!

Just ... put ... the ... nip ... down.

No!  They'll kill each other.  I -- I -- ... Forgive me!  *Toss.*

(Dan and Alexsi spend the next three hours discussing the beauty of the Universe.)

Now look what you've done, is that what you wanted, is it?!

I'm not sure, I honestly can't decide which is better, yet.

Good Luck Amber!!!
I'ld wish you Sienna-Brand Luck, but mine's been interesting as of late, but let's not delve into that now. I can however inform that it involves three chickens and five kinds of cheese.

Of course, Abel and the nip deserve due consideration.  There's always the option though that Abel could break the fourth wall and steal Bill's mask, first.

A couple of points:

1. I really, really want to know what species Jesus was.

2. Dan's tentacles are not under conscious control, and Dan is starting to come into his 'cubi powers.  This means that Alexsi is in big danger.  Fortunately for her he hasn't been taught any of the tricks yet, or she'd already be dead.  It's more likely that she'll be the one gasping for air in a few moments.

3. Dan might be able to reduce his energy consumption through recirculation, but he is not going to be able to nourish himself on his own pain.

4. Alexsi's behaviour right now makes it perfectly clear why Merlitz would not want to work for her anymore.

5. With a bit of fancy footwork from Jy's mum, Dan can now take control of the inn because (A) Alexsi is mentally unbalanced or (B) she's gone down for attempted murder.

Half lamb, half feline?

Seriously, one more bizarre possibility is that their Jesus is human, which might be why they worship him.  In particular the crucifix - why wasn't Jesus simply eaten if he was just another Being?  (Or Creature, but that makes it even more of a headache since many Creatures come with Christ-like powers by default).

If their Jesus was human, Christianity might be a remnant of an earlier time on Furrae from before the humans died out..

It's another one of those whacky fourth wall jokes, friends. Just like the one regarding Mab using Ebay to buy stuff from the 1980's, when the world of Furrae never really had a 1980's. Or at least not our version, anyways.

I'd like to think so, but I keep remembering the Jehova's witnesses and the cross in the graveyard in #510..

Sorry, people - I have a strong tendency to overanalyse anyway, but when Furrae religion crops up, I just can't help myself..

I'm eager to see what Wildy thinks up in this situation, actually.
Also interesting how both Cubi seemingly got over their angst phase within a day. Emotional creatures indeed.

Keep in mind that Abel's tentacles are under full control, and even he was scared of her. Of course, Abel most likely didn't go all-out back then. Then again, Dan surely doesn't want to hurt his sister. I'd say everything's pretty much open.

Dan is not exactly the prime example of mentally balanced. And don't even get me started on killing. *points at his collection of swords* :P
Besides, I doubt Dan would want control of the inn. It means work and staying at home. So no silly adventures with his equally silly friends anymore ;)

I don't think the priest style suits Abel. But then again, he'll do anything to cause confusion.

And Dan can die, but Alexsi wouldn't kill him. She just might make him wish she had.

Well, there is the proverbial line about how "the lion shal lie down with the lamb".
And as to how one might look, there's always the theory that Jack creator David Hopkins' character Central the Angel has such a background:

Here she is as a mortal and an angel.  She does have elements of both, I suppose; a leonine tail, coloration - white with black ears, hands and feet (most of the time) - which looks like a Merino sheep, and ears somewher in between little round lion ears and longer ovine ones.

I think amber mentioned earlier that furrae is not a later incarnation of earth, so I think we should simply take the mention of christ as non-canon humor, or else we'll get insane trying to get an explanation

it's likely more simple to say that furrae has its own sacred deity called christ.

needless to mention about the nascar joke a while ago...

Thanks to you, my mind decided to play out Planet of the Apes with the DMFA cast.  Thanks much.  My mind may never forgive you for that.  :p

Jyrras and Lorenda coming across a furrified statue of liberty was one of the funniest things my imagination has cooked up lately, though.

In case that was too vague and I have to elaborate; there was the referrence to perhaps there being a World before Furrae.  A human World?  And from that, Planet of the Apes isn't far behind.

Its nice to see Lorenda again. She actually looks really cute methinks. I like her character. I always kinda wondered what might happen between her, Jy, and her mom.... Anyone else remember that Her Mom (forget her name at the moment) took that game device to that high council? I have been wondering if that will ever come up again, or if Amber forgot about it.... so many open plot trails.

Lead villain, probably, at least until dark pegasus comes back again, you both get into a huge battle, both of you take each other out, or one of you is weakened enough to be finished off by the others.  That's usually the way it goes.

We seem to have forgotten that Alexsi is an Amazon and not an ordinary being.  She is in full possession of her own hammer space.  Who knows what else she can do.  We are left to speculation until the Amazon section has been filled out in Demonology 101.

Not that I am picking on anyone in particular, but the correct word usage is 'a lot' and not 'alot', which is misspelled.  I saw this mistake made in several posts by different individuals.  I felt a short lesson was required.

Example:
1.  I hereby allot you ten cows.
2.  Wow, ten is a lot of cows.

Please note that my own grammar skills aren't as good as I would like.  I find it easier to find mistakes in others typing than to find mistakes in my own.  This is true for a lot of people.

That should be "I find it easier to find mistakes in other's typing..."  You left out the apostrophe in "other's ", which is required when it's used  as a possessive.

Rafe, there is a double space between the words "used" and "as" in your last post and I believe that is improper form.

We seem to be diverging from the intent of the thread...

Abel does not make a very good priest, the outfit just does not do him any justice, just a tad bit too regimented.

Lexsi is rough with Dan, but he can take it, he always has.  She has some severe anger issues though, not a healthy way to deal with the immeidate issue...

True.  If it was meant as both a plural and a possessive, the apostrophe would follow the "s", as in "others' ".

Then again, some people like to use an apostrophe just to warn you that there is an "s" coming at the end of a word, as in

"Try our hot dog's", or

"I've got the run's".

If I were an a person of ill intent, right now I'd wish to build an army of robotic variants of the Arx Fatalis arachnid (http://newspics.rpgdot.com/gallery/805//Screenshots//nasty_spider2.jpg) (cited by a number of people I know as the most scary spider in existance), so that I could sic them on Charline, just because.  Yet I'm not, so I have no such desire.

Probably.

Anyway, Alexsi is an amazon?  Doesn't Dan have amazonian fantasies?  From a psychiatry standpoint, I'm now a little worried about our good Mr. Ti'fiona.

That said, I have to agree, Abel only looks good in a Priest's outfit in satire, since that would be a very primp and proper way of being and Abel seems to be anything but proper.  If anything, he might just be the antithesis thereof.

(Edit: I ...completely tripped over spelling a word there.  I'm glad that I have fast post modification skills.)

Ya know whats weird? as I was heading to the library a thought hit me out of the blue: "The power of Cute compells you" and this was before I had read this.. I dunno it just struck me as odd.
*snerk* I can just imagine Abel and Fi holding flowers and wearing cute dresses while saying that! xD

If amber were to be more anatomically correct and included udders on lorenda, then the "happy Buddha" wallpaper would look alot different. Not to mension she would need to design clothing that would hide the udders, which, i would imagine, would be a colossal pain in the neck..

OK, I know there was another Lorenda wallpaper somewhere but I can't seem to find it...

Course I think I like Zooni's version too

Da power  (http://us-p.vclart.net/vcl/Artists/Zooni/power_of_rice_compels_you.jpg)

You mention that demon girl again.  It took me two days to purify my thoughts after seeing the horrors her VCL contained.  Mention her again, and it will be you recieving the sword from the wrong end.

Not when they're doing mpreg Freddy and Jason with plenty of innocent victims.  Such defilement must be brought to justice.  For everyone's sake, never tread into her VCL page, it only took 10 of her pics to leave me scarred.

What about the teenage girls, little sisters and their big brothers, and hospital nurses (those were just some of the victims I saw amongst the 10 pics)?  Plus, technically, attacking or killing anyone you don't have a grudge against makes them an innocent, no matter how much combat training they have.

Jeeze mana,
Ever watch a horror movie?  or even a pretty average action movie?
dozens, hundreds of people get killed in them in fairly gruesome ways, hell ther are some comedies that feature rather horrific deaths.

the joke to Zooni's art, most of it anyway, is the fact that these are movie monsters. Being monsters is only there day job how ever, after that they come home and have a fairly normal life...

yes people die but these are the folks who seem to have there day job as innocent victum nuber 10...  they are the nameless hordes all slasher, and monster flicks need, and whats more they seem to know it.  There was a great comic Zooni did when Jason was preggers.  It involed Jason in maternity clothing chasing after some teenaged girl.  At one point he had to stop and the girl turned around all concened eyeing his belly "Are you sure you should be out here in your condition?"

the new generations she made are simply continuing on in that vien.  I mean it makes sense that Conner would become a movie killer.  I mean his parents are Freddy and Jason, and his baby sitter was Hannible lector.

Admittedly I don't like much of the blood and guts stuff myself.  but the ongoing story of there family dynamic is interesting  and very cool

I suppose it boils down to the fact that I don't like to see the bad guy get away with it.  I never was a fan of horror movies (especially idiotic teen slasher flicks), and it never sits right when some upstart piece of demonspawn thinks it can get away with the killing and mutilation of the innocent, especially if it's all for a cheap thrill.

Actualy Aridas I don't think you understand the differance between a legitimate complaint and the whiny rant attacking an innocent artist based simply on the fact that he doesn't like the subjects she draws.

See If he'd said "I don't like Zooni's art.  The graphic violence and blood just puts me off."

see thats a legitimate complaint while what Mana did was scream about psychological damage and call the artist nasty and foul names.

True.  If it was meant as both a plural and a possessive, the apostrophe would follow the "s", as in "others' ".

Then again, some people like to use an apostrophe just to warn you that there is an "s" coming at the end of a word, as in

"Try our hot dog's", or

"I've got the run's".

See, I told you my grammar was bad.

Now to get back on topic.  I think the fact that Alexsi has her own hammer space should be evidence that she posses' some magic.  I believe that she could square up against even a well trained cubi like Abel.

This has lead me to a few questions:
-How strong is she?
-Does she keep more than just a hammer in her hammer space?
-Did Destania teach her a few things about how to handle Dan if he should go out of control?
-Was Destania even worried she couldn't handle Dan?
-Why is everyone so quick to give her personal space when she gets angry?
-How would Kria react to Alexsi?  I don't know if they've ever met.

None of which I have much care for, beyond the armor and its obvious relations to my favorite passtime (you want kickass abilities on it, I've got plenty to choose from).  As for pie, I've never gone beyond the mudd, I'm more for the cake or brownie, and none of that cheesecake.  Cream and chocolatey goodness all the way for me.  In fact, I'm more for the cake style brownie in any case.  Damn it's been...well actually there was my best friend's birthday party last Friday.  Almost too chocolatey though.  I prefer my sweets in moderation.

*Charles munches blueberry pie*  I make my own pies: blueberry, apple, and pumpkin are the three I like.  I also pick my own blueberries... I picked over 100 pounds this year.   :)

As for art, I'm not too impressed with most so-called 'artists', of which the title is almost always self-appointed and doesn't reflect the skill or talent level (with some I must use negative integers on a grading scale).  The recent announcement of the bronze baby poop sculpture is a perfect example.  A bronze cast of crap... that is simply retarded.  Another example of someone with too much time on their hands and no functioning frontal lobe synapses.

And some art is skillful, but very twisted in subject.  I can withstand it on occaision for someone making a point or having a sporadic idea in that area.  but when it becomes the main focus of everything they draw/sculpt/etc., I have to start wondering what's going on upstairs, if you know what I mean.

*Charline pops in*  And on that note... vooooooooore!  *eats Charles!*   >:3
