Oh!  Sorry.
*Closes legs*

*edit*  You know, it would be nice if I actually had anything to say about the comic.
If I were spots, even though the thought of some hawt and sweaty man sex sounds nice, I wouldn't be so keen on doing it anywhere near a lurking monster.

Unless Amber decides to go for that whole Sex=death horror movie skit.

....

That just wouldn't be cool.

Those two are a couple... the sexual inuendo's between them is horrendous and subtle.

Now with Abel around Those two are going to have to slow down.

Yeah, just because two people travel together doesn't make them a "couple."  Though maybe give it a few years with little to no contact with other beings and see where that takes them.

As a note there are only 3 arrows left it the holder .. time to reload  .. not good out hunting baddies having no arrow. (or this is just the magic anime holder that always has 3 arrows in it. ;) )

I really have this weird feeling that Miss Amber is having quite a blast writing the story and looking on the reactions in the forum.

Im witholding my judgement on the sexuality issue until I get something concrete.

I didn't doubt the OMGTKB stuff.

I just... I just didn't think the pit had went there yet.  I disbelieved, at worst I figured there would be a couple of tastefull nudes on there.

But.....  *Screams*

.... Ok, now that the fan side of me has vomited all over it's self, the bastard side of me thinks the picture is kinda funny.  In a 'horrible thats not right dear god why am I laughing make it stop make it stop suicide is the only solution' kind of way.

You know, I think Devin and Xander are not in a relationship--the innuendo is just *too* over the top not to be facetious.  Either that or they're in some sort of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf type relationship (edit: In which case it's facetious anyways).

Also, if Xander's letter were rejected, it would have good company (http://www.brunching.com/rejectedpenthouse.html):

Dear Penthouse Letters,

I never thought it could happen to me, but boy was I wrong. I met this woman at the church picnic and she was very attractive. Father Mylar told me her name was Carol. All the men who were unmarried certainly noticed how attractive she was, so I figured I had to make my move. Seven months later we were married, and we had relations. Wow! It really can happen to anyone!

OK.  Don't get what?  Xander is imagining sleeping in a small tent with two men, at least one of which is probably gay and writing into the Furry equivalent of Penthouse Letters (a dirty magazine with no pictures and a reputation for being considerably more risque than Penthouse) about it.

I think it's pretty self-explanatory and funny.

I saw OMGTKB's mow. It was just... you know... physically impossible. Especially since mows are genderless, and they were made from Mab's DNA, so there's no way one could have that organ. And even if it did, the mere size of it would hinder its mobility greatly.

I hope I'm not breaking the PG rating. I just wanted to let the curious know what the Mow pr0n was without actually saying it.

For a more PG-friendly form of mow pr0n, you can always see this:

Eh. I went to Fchan, poked around for a few minutes, found... three or four pictures, but nothing that made me go "OH NOES, MY EYES BURN!". Either the more "knowledgeable" people here meant other pictures (I doubt it, since at least one description fit), or they just inadvertently hyped things with their posts. *shrug* Sure, I wouldn't link a minor to them (DUH), but compared to the rest of that site, they're nothing special in terms of wrongness.

More on-topic: Hooray for Xander! He's easily my favorite character in Abel's Story (and I weep because he is most likely dead in the regular canon timeline), and I'm happy that one poster's "I think Xander is going to get killed while sending the message" theory didn't come true. :)

Title: Re: The Doghouse- 11/18

citrus, in relation to Vit C deficiency, is apalling.

As in, a) it's dreadful, and b) a person with scurvy (caused by a lack of Vit C) tends to look pale, or pallid.

Citrus fruit is one of the more common ways of collecting Vitamin C.

Is everyone up to speed, now? :-)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm Xander making a gay remark hmmmmmmmmmm. Okay I think Xander is gay maybe I don't know. But if he making remarks like that is either one of two things either he's gay or being curious about the gay lifestyle. But it's so funny that Devin made that comment about writting to Doghouse magazine. I bet you Devin knows that Xander is gay and found his stash coincidence I don't think so.

The thing is, I've never seen much in the way of gay inuendo joking between guys who are straight and their friends who are gay.   Maybe a little, but not as much as is going on here.  On the other hand, if both are straight (or gay for that matter), the jokes can get pretty thick.

My conclusion? None.  I'll leave it to Amber to keep things as ambiguous as she wants to.

Erauh?  What's with people not knowing if Xander is gay or not?  Whatever happened to this comic (http://missmab.com/Comics/Abel_41.php)?

And, as for gay jokes between friends - I can't really say anything about between gay guys, but for between two straight guys, sure it can, easily.  ~points at college dorms~  :mowhappy

As for if Devin is gay... Just because I'm certain Xander is doesn't mean Devin is, although I am inclined to believe that.  I mean, it sounds like those two have worked together for years, so they'd most certainly be comfortable with each other and there's no reason for jokes like that not to come up.

Okay then let's leave it in Ambers hands to see where this is going. For now I will hold my decision till something falls maybe a shoe etc. Anywho If they are friends a very long time then these joke reinforce their friendship. Or who knows in this strip I'm confused when Xander made that joke in the first place that we go to these forums and speculate till no end.

Can straight men have a conversation where they do not question each other's sexuality? The world may never know! >:3

...and here I stand, sipping my tea, like a large wound in all the rules of what the rest of humanity seems to adhere to...

There is always more to things than what is apparrent. As long as their situation and conversation remains even the slightest bit ambiguous, we can never know for sure. And in either case, I do not really put that much significance into it, even though I may sometimes make certain statements for the sake of humour. And I don't think that people should do either, since as of yet it has not proved to have any impact on the whole story.

Although, I do believe that a good "cause" for Devin possibly being homosexual (if there ever was such a thing) might have been trauma that he suffered at his mother's hands, causing him to find women unattractive.

And, as for gay jokes between friends - I can't really say anything about between gay guys, but for between two straight guys, sure it can, easily.  ~points at college dorms~  :mowhappy

I call those "Tuesday Conversations." But seriously, I doubt anyone is completely confident in their sexuality. Everybody has the occasional deviant thought, and that is perfectly normal. (Whatever the heck "normal" is.) :confused

Maybe when talking to women, but those moments are few and far between.

Okay then maybe its normal in the sense of both parties of Xander and Devin to talk like that okay point taken. But as I experience in somethings with people in general there is always one rule when someone make comments regarding something in the sense of a offcolor homosexual remark then the person who made that remark is somewhat closeted homosexual (I hope I did not offend anybody if I did then I apologize for the observation that I made). That's how I see it if anybody disagrees then that's okay I'm just comparing thise strip with human nature sometimes they could be alike in certain areas. But I could be wrong knowing that the strip is somewhat way off in the sense of human nature and stuff.
