Considering that Azlan is, unless I am very much mistaken, one of the characters of friends from Furcadia, it's huis cahracter to allow anyone to use ro not use as he sees fit.  And, unless I am also mistaken in this, he also happens to be fairly active over on Syke's forums too, so it's not to surprising that he might have gotten a cameo.

Unfortunately I don't see any reasonably active forums for any of her comics anymore.  Most unfortunate, as I would wish to join any such forum.  However, the comments on the comics are amusing

It's the whole domain of http://www.cyantian.net that is unbelievable unstable for me.
It really sucks, because the comic seems promising, but the service just leeches all the fun out of it.

Meanwhile I can sit and pull down high res movies from youtube with no problem at all, which should indicate that my own connecetion is in working order.

Ah well, I hope his/her hosting service is cheap.
