The price certainly scared the heck out of me.

Have a look on amazon.co.uk. They'll do it with free, super-saver shipping. I think the postie would hate them, and you, though...

Fi's tail is missing another chunk, if I'm not mistaken. I'm not sure whether to blame Abel or Pip...

Are you misconstruing Abel's ear as another bite? The positioning makes it seem like one, now that I look at it.

TheJimTimMan

After closer examination Abel's ear definitely looks to be covering Fi's tail, although what originally made me twig was the fact that the bite makes it look as if it was the top the tail a chunk was missing, not to the side. The outline on Abel's ear looked like another bite to me on first glance, so I guess this was overanalysation on my part there.

Mines? Bah, a cowards weapon!  <Is a major hypocrite in this satement, they be damn useful buggers.  :shifty
I'd much prefer one of these things: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MacrossMissileMassacre
Massive overkill for the win. (While I'd like to get back on topic, I can't think of anything worthwhile to do so with.)

Consider the CAPTOR mine.  You could plant a few hundred of them with slightly modified software.  That way you have mines that launch the equivalent of a Macross Missile Massacare.

By a very torturous logical chain.  Never mind, in a few days we should have more DMFA and that may put an end to it.

When was the last time a thread here stayed on topic until its death?
Someday, when we look back on this, we'll both laugh nervously and change the subject. More is good. All is better.

It's like a sport, seeing how far you can get a thread away from its original topic. Not that I ever do anything like that of course ;)

Fi's tail is missing another chunk, if I'm not mistaken. I'm not sure whether to blame Abel or Pip...

Blame Pip for the damage. Blame Fi for barging into a situation where it happened again! If Fi's tail gets repaired by resizing again, I think it'll get damaged again (whether by Pip or something else) before too long.

It looks like Fi's physical size is almost the same as a normal being's, by the looks of it............

and as for the weapons discussion above? Give me an anti-tank rifle and a revolver anyway, just out of preference

....

for somebody so "knowledgeable" about weapons, you certainly don't know a lot about how they're spelt, let alone what exists, and what's possible.

if a tank couldn't take a .50 cal 'high explosive' round, it'd be an SUV.   >:3

Unfortunately one of mankind's great strengths seems to be to come of more interesting and disturbing ways to kill each other. Like land mines, not actually designed to kill in many cases. Certain chemical weapons for example can kill you in an instant so some victims remain frozen in position. There is also a missile that destroys a tank from the inside out by its payload becoming molten and flowing into the tank.

Even wonder what would happen if all that time, effort and money was put to better use?

Edit add: I'm also curious about what exactly a warp arci are and if they come from a place that has no sensation, wouldn't the world they have been summoned into be overwhelming?

Sadly, its not that easy.

Unfortunately, after all you can only really put your gun down after everyone else has.
