Kria had previously stated that she wouldn't kill Lorenda's friends.  Perhaps Destania sent Dan because she knew that Kria wouldn't attack him.
Something like that had occurred to me, but not that Dee would use it to her advantage.  As far as we know, Dee wasn't in on that meeting, she wouldn't know about it.

If there's one thing I've learned from making my eyes bleed on webcomics, it's never assume what the characters do know and don't know. :P Reason has no meaning in the world of webcomics, amirite?
In this case, I assume that reason would dictate that Destania would use the Twinks intelligence network to keep track of happenings at Lost Lake.  There have been references to at least three people at Lost Lake submitting periodic reports (Abel, Pyroduck, Kria) to various groups.
Learn to laugh at yourself, and you will never be without a source of amusement.

true that they may be genderless, but personality wise, masculine or feminine.?
In that regard, I've always thought of Fi as being feminine.  But that's just a gut feeling with nothing to back it up.

Interesting. I've always thought masculine; not just because of my obvious bias, but because of the hot pockets. After all, female geeks don't tend to be the nomnomnom type.

I object! I'm a female geek and I LOVE Hot pockets! I'd keep 'em at school if I could.

A. Ti'fiona is Destina's Taken name, not her maiden name, so the connection between Dan and his mother may not evident right away.

This is true, though if we look at 388, DP may possibly have told her already.

I just looked back at 388, and realised something. DP is just finding out about "Destania's child". Who's telling him?

Dan, one would assume.  Since it didn't happen during the WFH arc, we can assume that it happened before, when Dan would be about 18-22 years old.  If it was before Dee left, he'd probably not have the opportunity to forget her name.

Imagine that he's just said to DP: "I am Daniel Ti'Fiona, son of Destania!", to which DP does a double-take.  I think that's what we're seeing in 388, IMHO.

That's reminded me again of what Alexsi said — "Mom's maiden name". Have we ever got any hints as to what name Destania used in her married-to-Edward-and-before-he-disappeared years? There's a lot of stuff happened in that timeframe we still don't know more than hints about, and I get the feeling it has to be important.

I can hear a faint noise... it's Amber brushing the mothballs off her hula skirt.   ;)

"I am king Arthur!  I come in search of the Holy Grail!"
"Feh! I fart in your general direction!"
"So be it."

I think Ambers still missing the coconut shells though.
